To open I'm American and so my media generally says it is from Fox News to Bill Maher. I'm also no student of religions. I did read some where that nonbelievers should be beheaded and behanded, hopefully in that order. Do the Christian or Hindu or any other faiths have as low a bar on violence?

Well I'm going to have to go with more. Probably because, as opposed to other religions, it was founded by a warlord.

Do the christian or hindu faiths have as low a bar?  Are you asking if there is violence contained within, projected outward, or just generally present in the periphery -of-.

The answer is yes to all three, I'm just wondering.  It's not like the mulsims came up with the niche, eh?
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

What it teaches is irrelevant.  What its adherents do is what matters.

So there is equal violence toward non-members in all religions? Like kill those that aren't us stuff is in all the books?

It's very difficult to know what the teachings of Islam are if you take the quran and the hadith to be the teachings of Islam.

First of all you would need knowledge of the quran and a mind like one of the best lawyers in the world in order to remember and apply the knowledge.

Secondly you would need to understand the language the quran is written in.

Thirdly if I remember correctly even if you read, remember and understand all the verses, you still need to know what order they are in because some verses abrograte other verses.

Fourthly if you take the hadith into consideration then you need to know which haiths are the most reliable.

To me what looks very suspicious about the modern translations of the quran is that it usually has interperetations in brackets next to the verses. Especially in the more violent parts or where it seems god is being sadistic.

So for example it will say something along the lines of, men if you fear rebelion from your wives feel free to beat them (only lightly)

If you don't believe the verses of the quran (after reading and understanding them properly) god will burn you, then recreate your flesh, then burn you again in order for you to feel the pain over and over.

Are you ready for the fire? We are firemen. WE ARE FIREMEN! The heat doesn’t bother us. We live in the heat. We train in the heat. It tells us that we’re ready, we’re at home, we’re where we’re supposed to be. Flames don’t intimidate us. What do we do? We control the flame. We control them. We move the flames where we want to. And then we extinguish them.

Impersonation is treason.

Take the Quran challenge, open a page, any page, and see how long it is before it's threatening someone or other with violence and eternal torture. Do the same with other "holy books".

In the bible, death threats are so common you don't even need to be an unbeliever. Picking up sticks on a Sunday will do it. Yes, seriously.

But if you worship something other than good old Morgan Freeman, he gives license to kill you, that's for sure. When Moses came down after getting a bunch of commandments (including the one about not killing) and found the followers had already tired of Yahweh and started worshiping a golden object instead, the Y man ordered Moses to kill them.

That's the kind of sick morality the bible is peddling. The Quran says a ridiculous number of times over that anyone who does not submit to Allah will meet a fiery doom. And Jesus brought Hell with him, to send anyone to who doesn't follow his contradictory rules.

It's a good job even most people taking it seriously don't take it very seriously. Living in peace and harmony with people who actually believed this shit would be impossible.

I'm not too familiar with the Kerrang but I think the bible has it beat in terms of sheer violence. God kills at least 2.5 million people during the story, either directly or by commandment. That's a lot of love for other gods to compete with.

Many of the stories in the bible are also found in the quran.
