Here's a thought.
Is the magical parts of the NT supposed to be:
(A) A historical account by people
or
(B) Revelation from god to people
In case A, it is subject to normal human historical criteria. Extraordinary claim, pitiful evidence, fail.
In case B, we're relying on God telling the truth. How can we possibly know God would tell us the truth? We can't. Because God says so about himself? This is circular reasoning. We can't know it's true unless we investigate it ourselves, putting us back to (A).

Randy, something has been bugging me about this thread from the very beginning. It's not just that your minimal facts do not prove Jesus rose from the dead even IF they were all true. They wouldn't. But you are claiming they prove the resurrection. Resurrection is a much, much larger claim. Many atheists or members of other religions may not know that, but I do, and I suspect you do too. Resurrection is being raised from the dead to everlasting life. What in any of your "facts" even suggests that Jesus will be alive forever more? And if he is still alive, why don't he write? Make an appearance? Say hi?
If there is a god, I want to believe that there is a god. If there is not a god, I want to believe that there is no god.

I bet you anything, you will get the standard answer to that kind of question: He does, to the ones being open to him.

I've already received that answer from a number of Christians and a couple Muslims. That's the standard answer of the woo claimant. If you don't believe already you will not see.

Yes. It never fails to amaze me how much evidence you can find if only you are willing to fabricate it yourself. Truly fascinating phenomenon.

Would you believe me if I said He does?
Not until he says, "Hi!" to you personally. Then, everyone in this forum will turn on you because you will have NO evidence.
But you will have KNOW evidence, and it will change your life.
