What would you consider to be evidence for God?

Everyone is convinced of God's existence*; not everyone accepts God's authority which is the exercise of their God given 'free-will'. Remember, the Garden-of-Eden was made 'very good' (not perfect like some think), and then God made it even better by introduction free will.

*Romans 1:20  For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities--his eternal power and divine nature--have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.

Just because it says it in a book don't make it so.

Do people think people quoting from their holy texts are always trying to prove their point to Atheists from the holy text or that just to reinforce that their view is not unique but is believed by their believing community and is supported by their holy text as well? Rather then saying "Believe in this look I quoted from the Bible", they are saying this is what I believe and it's the view of the Bible?

I think there is a missing step in the cognition.

It's more, "This is true because it's in the book [and I believe the book to be true]".

It's true because it's in the book, and the book is true because it's full of true things.

Except when it's obviously false, which is most of the time. Whoops.

*Pastafarian 1:20 For since the creation of the world FSM's invisible qualities--his eternal power and divine nature--have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.

I see your FSM and raise you one Ceiling Cat.

Romans 1:20 Wen Ceiling Cat maed teh urths, ppls cud see he has invisible powers, an so they has no excus.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

The fool hath said in his heart, "There is no spaghetti."

And if you believe in FSM believe also in his son, the meatball.
The god who allows children to be raped out of respect for the free will choice of the rapist, but punishes gay men for engaging in mutually consensual sex couldn't possibly be responsible for an intelligently designed universe.

I may defend your right to free speech, but i won't help you pass out flyers.

Those who can make you believe absurdities, can make you commit atrocities.

By faith we understand that spaghetti sauce is really his transubstantiated blood that was shed for our sins.

When I post, I’m not trying to ‘Prove‘, persuade, cajole or influence board members to believe in God’s existence or even change their worldview to a creation model. Think about it, if God gave people free will to choose, I should and do fully endorse the exercise thereof; without it humans are nothing but puppets. Besides, everyone believes in God. Scripture never says ‘some THINK there is no God’, what it says is ‘some SAY there is no God’. This board I presume has been established for more then atheists telling each other how wonderful they are.
Atheist Credo: A universe by chance that also just happened to admit the observer by chance.

Tell that to your fellow theist Drich! He thinks that Romans 1:20 doesn't mean that all people are aware of God's existence.
