I don't know. Given the choice between Supermax and being shot, I'm not so sure I wouldn't choose the latter. At least there's a fighting chance involved.

They weren't in supermax.  They were in the "honor" wing of a medium security prison where they were allowed out of their cells 12 hours a day, and watch television and cook their own meals in their own cells.
