This whole pizza scandal is very confusing.
Can someone please cut up the main points in 8 logical parts which are easy to digest..

I like pizza. I'm no snob about it, though. And I tend to buy it (delivery) when I have run out of sufficient groceries to fix a coherent dinner (life with a disability and weight probs). I like Papa John's. Up in North County, I've liked Flippin' Pizza, which my father hates, being a NYer.
I need to kind of lay off it, though. My belly gets big quickly, and pizza is the main culprit. I do find myself less in the mood for it lately, but I'm guessing that it's because I buy from the same place all the time: the aforementioned Papa John's.
I'mnot sure what my point was, but I get it. Both sides of the argument, I get it. Pizza seems like a cop out at times, and highly overrated. But then food hipsters love nothing more than tracking down that authentic NY slice, or Chicago deep dish.
I don't care. Is it any good? That's what I care about. I think my next non-delivery will be in Juneau next summer while watching the seaplanes by the dock.

This is forgivable under the mantra "like sex, even bad pizza is still good". Your penance shall be four slices of wood-fired Margherita.

I do likes me some margherita. From PJs, I can just do cheese and tomato and it's relatively satisfying.
But now you all have me curious what the most popular and/or best pizza is in my part of SD. I'm going to go yelp.

PIZZA PSALMS 4:20-29 (KJV)
20 Yea, verily, the Boru should receive our pity, for he knows not what he does. 21 Thy apple of pine, sweet thou art, shall be served with salted cured meats only 22 ham, prosciutto, bacon, salami, and pepperoni only. 23 Forgive the hipsters who bought thine favorite pizza joint and refuseth to serve this delectable topping, for they know not what they do, and are addled from excessive consumption of PBR. 24 For thou knowest that five tastes there are. 25 Sour, sweet, salty, spicy and umami, each in it's proper proportion. 26 Thine that shun the briny anchovy, a pox upon thee, for verily doth this condiment bringeth much flavor when used sparingly. 27 Thin crust before thick, for in all things, moderation and balance must be thine goal. 28 Thine toppings shall number one to four, no more, no less. 28 A nine topping combination? 29 Art though nuts?

I used to think that pizza had to have some kind of cured meat on it to be good. I used to have many odd ideas about what makes good pizza, but I discovered I was wrong - it's all about the crust, the bread, and the toppings should compliment it. Margherita is is a time-worn classic for a very good reason: the flavors work together and don't overwhelm the character and flavor of the bread.

Wow this is deep and philosophical
I love the Hawaiian topping (ham and pineapple), goes down a treat. I am one of the least fussy people with toppings though. I'll have the whole lot, meat, mushroom, red onion, pepper. Plain margherita is nice too though.
I also love a good stuffed crust pizza, one which has cheese or tomato puree in the crust to give it some flavour
I'm hungry now.
