Religion makes sense

The specific religion people choose often has a bias, but the same is true of the morality we come to believe in. Just because there is diverse moralities, doesn't mean there isn't an objective morality. And just because there are diverse religions, doesn't mean there isn't a divine religion.

Notice my title didn't state Islam makes sense, but that religion makes sense.  The specific form of which religion needs an additional argument.

I could only get through the first three lines of that word salad. I was full after that.
Even if the open windows of science at first make us shiver after the cozy indoor warmth of traditional humanizing myths, in the end the fresh air brings vigor, and the great spaces have a splendor of their own - Bertrand Russell

I didn't say you did mention Islam.  I mentioned it as an example, along with Christianity and Hinduism.

It seems, that if there was a single divine religion, with a single divine being, it would be powerful and intelligent enough to get its message through clearly instead of giving rise to multiple, hostile belief systems.

Of course, there are the claims of non-interference on behalf of the deity and free will, but I would have thought that a being that was constantly interfering in the affairs of humanity up to a couple of thousand years ago might still try to calm his followers and stop them making the planet hell for everyone else.

The problem is, these "divine treasures" only exist in your mind.

I'm afraid it's quite logical, actually because there is no reason to believe they exist.

It's obvious that you are a very reflective person but you rely entirely on feeling to guide you. I can have what you might call a spiritual experience by laying out under a star field, listening to classical music and reflecting on the vastness of the universe. I'll experience feelings of awe, perhaps a connection to it all. I may have flashes of intuition about this or that. The difference between you and me though is that I respect empirical evidence more than you do. That evidence tells me that any thoughts I might interpret as divine revelation is just a byproduct of the brain chemistry of my heightened state. There is the fact that I can reproduce that state at will through drugs. You are ignoring that and are treating the feelings as something primal rather than simple products of brain chemistry. This is the divide between us. We atheists think logically, empirically. You are thinking with feelings. We cannot put faith in feelings.
Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former.

(July 1, 2015 at 10:49 pm)MysticKnight Wrote: When truly reflect about ourselves, we realize within us are divine treasures that originate from a higher reality. These tools and treasures and divine weapons need to be trained and honed. Yet despite these divine treasures, we see humanity often ignoring them, and transgressing against them.

The ultimate source of these treasures and it's ultimate direction, is such, that these treasures within ourselves speak of this source as a comprehensive compassionate and specially kind loving being that wishes to honor us with these treasures.

As these treasures and their awakening and direction is of a unseen reality, there would be in the unseen journey, a way towards learning the way to walk with these treasures.

Some people who hearts are that of sight and power, would reach the destination, and be fit for guiding humanity and becoming examples to follow in the unseen journey to God.  The treasures in us are obviously meant to be used in a way that is exalted, and there would be out of God's infinite grace infinite souls and out of infinite souls there being bound to be those who are of the exalted path.

No one but God can manifest these holy souls, and make them guides for us...for we who are not guided cannot simply decide what the guidance and who the Guides are.

It makes sense the Honorable Creator would admonish us and remind us through his words, about following the path of those who he favored with divine guidance and are of the best people.

These treasures and divine words in us, are in weak state. Unfortunately, if we reflect upon it, we see we are very weak towards the divine forces within us.

In the Unseen, there is form of beauty and glory, that is tied with the spirit of devotion to God. Different manifestations of glory and beauty take place, but there is an etiquette to follow.

Just as we need teachers to teach us math, and we need teachers to teach us science, and books help, God has appointed us teachers to teach us how to use and perfect the treasures with in us and has sent revealed books.

This is rational given how human center around learning from both books, practice, and practical teachers.

The teachers in the journey to God are those who are aware of the etiquette required in each stage and who's hearts have been revealed the unseen forms of good actions.

In this day and age, however, there is no access to an outward guide of this nature, but the way to access it is to frequently turn to God.  If we turn to God often, surely he will guide us towards his Guide of time and appoint him as a companion to our journey.

He will help us realize the majesty of his speech and purify our hearts.

Religion makes sense, because, religion is about putting into practice divine treasures in the soul: through divine text and writing, through practical example and code of practice, and through teachers and guides.

Denying the divine treasures in the soul is illogical and against our knowledge of ourselves.

If we remember ourselves, we will remember God.

We are all connected to a spiritual kingdom, in which we can look into. It's about time we begin to look with the eyes of our hearts and get connected to the spiritual world, and realize the path of our Leaders and Guides, and that we take a journey with the company of the guide of our time.

Deism is to dry, no link to the higher realms, no training from God on how to hone divine weapons and treasures, no help and guidance from God...etc...

And Atheism, to be blunt, just denies what we are, and what we can see ourselves to be.

Religion is logical and reasonable.

Maybe God wants us all to have the ability to help his cause and will, and ability to have a hand to bring about a just and peaceful world.

Ultimately, the biggest help, is from his appointed Guide who will end the be the catalyst to bringing justice and peace to the world. But perhaps God wants us all the ability to help and choose in the fight of good and evil.

Logically, there is bound to be evil people that attach themselves to the true religion by name. But the love of the chosen guides is something of the heart and experiencing the unseen path of God is through their love, and that is the way to follow God.

That is a rope from God and humans, and the access to it is through the "heart" of the Soul.

Or? Education rain forests eat jelly beans resulting in sheep shearing waste that decompose into Yoda shit transforming into Mr. Hanky who in turn scares away toilet discharge pipe snakes causing rats to relinquish underworld dominance that starve the city pigeon population meaning I don't have a chess partner in the park.

A truly sad state of affairs. I'm convinced, which way is Mecca?
