Religion makes sense
#31
RE: Religion makes sense
What use is objective morality if only one person in the world knows about it, and everyone else is wrong?

You'll be lucky to find two people who agree absolutely on every point of morality.

Just saying, "There is a correct morality" is useless if you can't demonstrate such a thing exists, or provide some way to find out what it is.

Ultimately, the biggest help, is from his appointed Guide who will end the be the catalyst to bringing justice and peace to the world. But perhaps God wants us all the ability to help and choose in the fight of good and evil.

Logically, there is bound to be evil people that attach themselves to the true religion by name. But the love of the chosen guides is something of the heart and experiencing the unseen path of God is through their love, and that is the way to follow God.

That is a rope from God and humans, and the access to it is through the "heart" of the Soul.

Yes, bingo. All those people who make noises about moral relativism fail to grasp this. Even if there is an objective morality handed down from on high, nobody can tell us what it is. We have ten thousand different people all telling us they have the objective moral code but when we take a look, we see ten thousand different moral codes - each supposedly objective. It's far worse than moral relativism because not only is it not really objective it's adherents think it is and that gives them dangerous ideas - like everybody against the supposedly objective morality is against God and therefore evil. Lets kill them all.
Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former.

RE: Religion makes sense
Really? When I truly reflect on my inner self, I am overwhelmed with certainty that my and other humans' thoughts are made out of little rice grains carried around inside our heads by little blue men, who then bake these grains into wrinkly, gray rice cakes that store our ideas, beliefs, and memories. These men guide our actions, thoughts, and deeds, and have a supreme moral code that they whisper in our ears at night when they enter our ear canals to mate and give birth.

Because we are stupid and they are awesome, we mostly don't understand what they say, even though they're all telling us the same thing, and so we write it down imperfectly and fight over what it all really means; this is where differing morality comes from in the face of consistent, objective moral truth from these little blue men.

Furthermore, because these little blue men are behind our eyes, which don't roll back far enough, they are completely impossible to see, and because we can't see them, we make up all kinds of characters in our heads to describe the source of the voices these little blue men speak in; this is where gods come from.

Now, these little blue men take great pains to hide from humans because they understand human nature; if we really thought little blue men controlled all our thoughts and actions by whispering in our ears and baking the rice cakes in our heads, we would deafen ourselves and bash our own heads in trying to free ourselves from their influence. Because of this, if you look into a person's ear to see the little blue men, they just hide deeper inside his head, and if you use machines or crack a skull open to try to look at the little blue men, they dive into the wrinkly gray rice cakes and start giving off electromagnetic frequencies; we mistakenly conflate these "brain waves" with actual patterns of thought, but those are really just the farts of the little blue men from eating their way into the rice cakes. IF you cut into the rice cakes to find the little blue men, they vanish with their magic powers.

As you can clearly see, my tone is organized, sincere, and cogent, so I am obviously not crazy. It is also impossible to disprove anything I've said. As such, it is irresponsible, closed-minded, and un-American for you to not concede the possibility that I could be right, and if I am and you don't believe me the little blue men will travel down your spine and chop out your butt-hole with spoons. You don't want to get your butt-hole chopped out, do you? Best believe in those little blue men, then.
Verbatim from the mouth of Jesus (retranslated from a retranslation of a copy of a copy):

"Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you too will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you. How can you see your brother's head up his ass when your own vision is darkened by your head being even further up your ass? How can you say to your brother, 'Get your head out of your ass,' when all the time your head is up your own ass? You hypocrite! First take your head out of your own ass, and then you will see clearly who has his head up his ass and who doesn't." Matthew 7:1-5 (also Luke 6: 41-42)

MK - I thought you were "getting better"? WTF happened? All baseless, unsupportable assertions.

Yuck, yuck, blech!

As for MK swallowing up Deepak Chopro, I did not see a mention of the word "quantum", but I couldn't wade through the woo-prose. Sawry!

MK do you believe consciousness is the ground of existence that becomes and then regulates the flow of energy and information in the universe? Deepak does!

Do you think insights bring truth, which is love in action? Deepak def does!

Now as for physics, what are your thoughts on the Higgs? Does the Higgs boson unfold into the mechanics of neural networks? Deepak tells us it DOES! Yes! Wondered about that one! Explains EVERYTHING! How could I have been SO blind?

See this sack? (Points to large burlap sack on ground.) I got a million of 'em.

(July 1, 2015 at 10:49 pm)MysticKnight Wrote: When truly reflect about ourselves, we realize within us are divine treasures that originate from a higher reality. These tools and treasures and divine weapons need to be trained and honed. Yet despite these divine treasures, we see humanity often ignoring them, and transgressing against them.

The ultimate source of these treasures and it's ultimate direction, is such, that these treasures within ourselves speak of this source as a comprehensive compassionate and specially kind loving being that wishes to honor us with these treasures.

As these treasures and their awakening and direction is of a unseen reality, there would be in the unseen journey, a way towards learning the way to walk with these treasures.

Some people who hearts are that of sight and power, would reach the destination, and be fit for guiding humanity and becoming examples to follow in the unseen journey to God.  The treasures in us are obviously meant to be used in a way that is exalted, and there would be out of God's infinite grace infinite souls and out of infinite souls there being bound to be those who are of the exalted path.

No one but God can manifest these holy souls, and make them guides for us...for we who are not guided cannot simply decide what the guidance and who the Guides are.

It makes sense the Honorable Creator would admonish us and remind us through his words, about following the path of those who he favored with divine guidance and are of the best people.

These treasures and divine words in us, are in weak state. Unfortunately, if we reflect upon it, we see we are very weak towards the divine forces within us.

In the Unseen, there is form of beauty and glory, that is tied with the spirit of devotion to God. Different manifestations of glory and beauty take place, but there is an etiquette to follow.

Just as we need teachers to teach us math, and we need teachers to teach us science, and books help, God has appointed us teachers to teach us how to use and perfect the treasures with in us and has sent revealed books.

This is rational given how human center around learning from both books, practice, and practical teachers.

The teachers in the journey to God are those who are aware of the etiquette required in each stage and who's hearts have been revealed the unseen forms of good actions.

In this day and age, however, there is no access to an outward guide of this nature, but the way to access it is to frequently turn to God.  If we turn to God often, surely he will guide us towards his Guide of time and appoint him as a companion to our journey.

He will help us realize the majesty of his speech and purify our hearts.

Religion makes sense, because, religion is about putting into practice divine treasures in the soul: through divine text and writing, through practical example and code of practice, and through teachers and guides.

Denying the divine treasures in the soul is illogical and against our knowledge of ourselves.

If we remember ourselves, we will remember God.

We are all connected to a spiritual kingdom, in which we can look into. It's about time we begin to look with the eyes of our hearts and get connected to the spiritual world, and realize the path of our Leaders and Guides, and that we take a journey with the company of the guide of our time.

Deism is to dry, no link to the higher realms, no training from God on how to hone divine weapons and treasures, no help and guidance from God...etc...

And Atheism, to be blunt, just denies what we are, and what we can see ourselves to be.

Religion is logical and reasonable.

PLEASE stop projecting your irrational crap on the rest of us.

Seriously, how arrogant are you that you believe you are able to speak for those of us who don't share your lack of critical thinking skills?

You'd believe if you just opened your heart" is a terrible argument for religion. It's basically saying, "If you bias yourself enough, you can convince yourself that this is true." If religion were true, people wouldn't need faith to believe it -- it would be supported by good evidence.
