Oh wait.. I can quote him for you ha ha ha ha.

I'm just kidding. I don't put people on ignore. But if I ever did he'd probably be on it. Guy makes no sense.

I must say, there were many accusations in it that I would have called into question, but you have done an excellent job of saving me from that sort of torture. I'm going to give you some rep love for that!
I'm hot for rep love!

Apology accepted.

Am I about to retract my acceptance? I was raised to believe that an apology with a 'but' isn't a proper apology.

Quote:As hard as it is for me to admitted simply because I will loose some; the merciful, yet righteous Lord I speak of is the One Lord, but is not solely responsible for bad things. There must be balance. There is another cause for real negative. And that negative is a power. A lesser one no doubt.
There is also another force in the known Universe that is chaos. It can be described very little by me due to it's nature. It is disorder.
Apology sustained Big Grin .

So you don't believe in an 'omni-everything' god. Instead you're some sort of polytheist? I have to say that I'm a little confused by the nature of your beliefs but at least your position on the OP is more clear now: you attribute only 'good' occurrences to your 'Lord' and any 'bad shit' to 'the negative power' or 'the force of chaos/disorder'.
Does your religion have a name?
Sum ergo sum

Stuff that someone on LSD couldn't even imagine. A burning bush that talked? Yeah.. TOTALLY convincing. Oh, and the fact that the snake in the garden of Eden was the ONLY animal that ever talked? Okay. Got it.

Honestly, works such as the Iliad, The Oddysey or Giglamesh are way better than the Bible is. Especially that the writers of both the Old and New Testament borrowed quite a fair bit from all three works.

And how do you know that we will know anything after we die?
How did you come to be in possession of such crucial information?
I have been shown and am shown for I am with great sin and was with great burden through my search. I am blessed. Sense I was shown I have slowly become more in touch. I praise the Lord. Please forgive how it sounds. I am selfless and very much with sin too.

Panthiest and first describe it as does anthropomorphic. Sure you don't get that but it is.

Definately benevolent.

Ancients weren't better.
Fewer. Less astray in ways.

You delude yourself willingly, pops.  Your problem.  You are on your own and there is no invisible friend helping you.

The term shit-out-of-luck comes to mind.

RE: Calling it into question...
Judi,

Your OP reminded me of one of Robert Ingersoll's best quotations:

Quote:We have heard talk enough. We have listened to all the drowsy, idealess, vapid sermons that we wish to hear. We have read your Bible and the works of your best minds. We have heard your prayers, your solemn groans and your reverential amens. All these amount to less than nothing. We want one fact. We beg at the doors of your churches for just one little fact. We pass our hats along your pews and under your pulpits and implore you for just one fact. We know all about your mouldy wonders and your stale miracles. We want a this year's fact. We ask only one. Give us one fact for charity. Your miracles are too ancient. The witnesses have been dead for nearly two thousand years.
-- Robert Green Ingersoll, "The Gods" (1872)

140+ years ago he had these assholes all figured out.

@pops

Ok. Now try to say that in full sentences. Use subject-verb-object structure and try to stick to one thought and expand on it. If you want to talk about another one, begin a new paragraph. Do you proofread?

I don't wanna go all English teacher on you, but it's really hard to make sense of what you're saying, pops

Can you describe to me how you have been shown these things?
