Evidently he was struck down because he foolishly thought that the Lord needed him to steady the arch. He didn't believe that the Lord controlled everything's fate including the fate of the arch. Oh, well, yeah! Of course kill that guy.
As long as it was all Uzzahs fault and nothing to suggest that his god is an utter twat, that's fine then. Problem solved.
Quote: Something of God’s presence in the Ark of the Covenant seems to be lost in the church today. The exodus story is later bullshit. No ark. No plagues. No conquest. No Moses. No Joshua. The villages which later coalesced into the northern and southern polities of "israel" and "judah" cam centuries after this particular bullshit story was supposed to have happened and they arose from within Canaan not outside of it. This is what happens when archaeology examines actual evidence instead of silly old books. The bigger question is why do xtians praise such a bunch of murderous stormtroopers as the ancient 'israelites' are portrayed to be? They make ISIS look like shlemiels. Why are you so fond of murdering bastards, Randy? Why is your god such a dick? You can fix ignorance, you can't fix stupid. Tinkety Tonk and down with the Nazis. If you tell me were to find the story you speak of I can read it and give a better explanation. Thanks. The book of Samuel in the sixth chapter.
Just read 6 and 7 it didn't even mention that. Though it did mention that 70 were killed for attempting to peer inside the arch.
