Why the extra h and what does it need a y for? I will be curious about this all night (July 11, 2015 at 10:01 pm)Catholic_Lady Wrote:(July 11, 2015 at 10:00 pm)Minimalist Wrote: Which is where the jerking off comes in. I too once dropped a deuce that was cranky, profane, well read in history, and unwilling to suffer fools gladly. But until now, I hadn't connected the experience with Min. By chance, was yours devastatingly handsome? RE: What do the theists here think about masturbation and porn?

"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."

I'm afraid I'd have to conclude that using the rhythm method is just another form of birth control, although a less robust one.
If the woman is essentially infertile when the sex happens, then there is no intention to create life. I can't fathom how it's OK to get around the rule one way but not another. Sure, it may fail and you might get pregnant, but that's true of virtually all contraception. Feel free to send me a private message.

Fertility monitoring is a form of birth control, yes. But the thing to understand is that birth control, in and of itself, is not against church teaching. It's contraception that is against Church teaching, and we define contraception as anything that changes the nature of a sexual act in order to render it infertile. Simply refraining from having sex on the fertile days, does not do this.^
