Quote:And how can I not like women? I am a woman. And I love being one. : Because your bible tells you that you are the cause of all the trouble in the world. Don't forget that. And, no. I don't think it is harsh. When I look at these jack-offs in Congress who keep throwing red meat to the pro-life crowd I think Carlin is spot on. In fact, they are re-doubling their efforts to force women to have kids they don't want and my attitude towards that is "fuck you, you hypocritical bunch of busy-bodies."
Haha! Napo's a butt!

"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."

The doctrine of my faith teaches that women and men are equals. I didn't say it was harsh, I said it was a rash generalization of an entire group of people. I do agree with you that there are politicians in the white house who just "pretend" to be pro life for the sake of votes, without actually caring about human life in general, in all its stages and in all conditions. But they do not represent the majority of people who call themselves pro life. (July 10, 2015 at 4:32 pm)Napoléon Wrote:(July 10, 2015 at 4:28 pm)rexbeccarox Wrote: Haha! Napo's a butt! Yes. I voted other.
It would be undesirable to be sure but I wouldn't take it off the table. Overpopulation is a really frightening thing. Combat it other ways first but if it gets bad enough, government oversight would be preferable to letting it spiral out of control. The Catholic Church by the way is, one of the prominent villains here. Maybe Pope Francis will figure out that opposing birth control and encouraging the flock to mindlessly reproduce is incompatible with his laudable stance that we should take better care of the planet.
Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former.

Having the opinion that contraception is not moral does not mean we support mindless reproduction, btw. : If everyone followed the Church teaching to save sex for marriage, there would be a lot less pregnancies. Also, the Church does encourage responsible family planning by fertility monitoring. You may not agree with either of these things, but saying we advocate for "mindless reproduction" is simply inaccurate.
