RE: Why did you come to this board?

I went over to AF.com many years back for a sense of community, and to explore my newly cemented atheist beliefs. But after a long time there, I just felt like I wasn't getting along so great with people over there. They have a different sense of humor, I suppose, than me. I found this place after owning up to my frustration with AF.com
I don't feel like such an outsider here.

I wasn't too warmly welcomed at The Thinking Atheist forums. They had a bad habit of insulting a belittling people for asking questions. Making people feel dumb because they aren't sure of something is no way to keep members. They kinda seemed like they lived in Dawkins ass crack.

I didn't know any other atheists besides myself and my sister, so I would read articles about atheism and religion to satiate my curiosity. I started to find more and more articles with titles like "why I stopped believing... and started again", which were the results of googling "deconversion stories". I was extremely annoyed by not finding what I wanted and by how misrepresentative the articles were. I thought, I'm an atheist and I'm nothing like this! I remembered being a member of a movie forum back in the late 90's- early 00's and wondered if there was an online community of atheists that were like me, and there was!
I found a few atheist forums. This one had the cleanest mobile version and the dirtiest heathens
I can't remember where this verse is from, I think it got removed from canon:
"I don't hang around with mostly men because I'm gay. It's because men are better than women. Better trained, better equipped...better. Just better! I'm not gay."
For context, this is the previous verse:
"Hi Jesus" -robvalue

Cant really add much to what has already been stated. It's nice to talk in an intelictual way with people: some like minded and some not. I mean it would be no fun with out the religious to banter back. It be like making fun of women with no woman there.
Also I am not a master debater.... wait for it....
It is nice to see the aurguments of both sides to be able to talk with some experience on the subject of religion and philosophy.
I've always loved philosophy. I never could just accept the easy answers that were given to me.
