It probably won't occur to Trump, or anyone in his campaign, but if he would promise a federal hiring freeze, and then to FIRE 50,000 federal employees a month for the duration of his term, the mood of the public is such he would have a damn good shot at winning.
It would be somewhat similar to what happened to the Golgafrinchams . . . The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.
