I don't see what is so stupid about believing the text quoted in the OP. All it is saying is that people who should know better are entrenched in error and that God will strengthen the prophets will so he can effectively confront them.
Secondly Ezekiel was explicitly in a visionary state filled with symbolic imagery. Most people have had dreams filled with more bizzare things than eating paper.

The OT doesn't include Jesus though it does include god appearing in a variety of ways and forms. The Hebrews who wrote it don't see the messiah showing up early. Why should you other than that you are projecting later Christian scripture on it? Absent a gloss of Christian theology there is no Jesus in those verses, just god appearing in human form.
You're right God in human form, God the Son, the Son has always shown himself in human form. The Hebrews will point to many scriptures that show Christ coming in the future. Where else would the obtain the information of the coming Messiah.

They wouldn't obtain information about the coming of Jesus in the OT, because it isn't there. When Christians try to find it there, they ignore the original Jewish meanings.
Jacob wrestling the angel is an odd story, and the Jews have their own interpretation of it and one that given the context, makes as much sense as anything. Jacob is coming home to Esau and having stolen Esau's birthright just before he left, has some reason to doubt his welcome especially when he hears Esau is coming in force. He sends several servants ahead separately with a gifts of goats for Esau. Then he separates his family and belongings from Esau by placing them on the far side of the river. He waits alone for Esau.
But instead of meeting Esau, he meets the angel/man. Many Jews interpret this to mean he met and wrestled with the guardian angel of Esau, which makes considerably more sense then Jesus given that the story is contained in an extended narrative about Jacob's reconciliation with Esau. . http://www.myjewishlearning.com/article/jacob/2/ And the conflict is symbolic of the conflict between the peoples of Jacob and the peoples of Esau. http://www.myjewishlearning.com/article/jacob/
These early Jesus sightings are usually, like this one, the result of taking the story out of context. [Edit: Notice the Jewish interpretation is at odds with Huggy too. So now we got three interpretations going.]
If there is a god, I want to believe that there is a god. If there is not a god, I want to believe that there is no god.

Who has the burden of proof in that one? The person who made their position know second?
It's up to you to prove we're wrong, we both believe in the God of creation and salvation.

Wrong. You're the one making the claim. That makes youthe one with the burden.

You're still shifting the burden. Bad form GC.
I was challenged on my knowledge, when one challenges the burden reverts to the challenger, You need to come into the real world instead of living in the world of lies you've been fed.

You're the one making the clam, dumb-ass. A challenge to your proofs does nothing to shift the burden.

I didn't take the story out of context, I can't see where your references adds anything to the story, to much left out of the story. Do not have time to say more will do that later.

3 And he said to me, “Son of man, eat what is before you, eat this scroll; then go and speak to the people of Israel.” 2 So I opened my mouth, and he gave me the scroll to eat.
3 Then he said to me, “Son of man, eat this scroll I am giving you and fill your stomach with it.” So I ate it, and it tasted as sweet as honey in my mouth.
4 He then said to me: “Son of man, go now to the people of Israel and speak my words to them. 5 You are not being sent to a people of obscure speech and strange language, but to the people of Israel— 6 not to many peoples of obscure speech and strange language, whose words you cannot understand. Surely if I had sent you to them, they would have listened to you. 7 But the people of Israel are not willing to listen to you because they are not willing to listen to me, for all the Israelites are hardened and obstinate. 8 But I will make you as unyielding and hardened as they are. 9 I will make your forehead like the hardest stone, harder than flint. Do not be afraid of them or terrified by them, though they are a rebellious people.”
Well, of course this is completely stupid and only taken seriously by completely stupid people, but there are certain christians on here who definitely have the flint-like hardened head. That would have been so kewl if when I was in school I could have just eaten the books and not have to do all that studying.
The god who allows children to be raped out of respect for the free will choice of the rapist, but punishes gay men for engaging in mutually consensual sex couldn't possibly be responsible for an intelligently designed universe.
