preachers on AF rant

I'm personally immensely fascinated by Chick Tracts. If you read one it's like nobody except for the main protagonist has ever heard of Jesus, ever. In 20-21st century America.

Love those things, TheBibleReloaded on YouTube does excellent voice overs for them.

Yep, that's where I get them from. It's even funnier when I don't look at the screen and sometimes can't tell if they're adding to it or its the original text

There's a further fact preachers can't seem to grasp, no matter how many times I say it.

Even if we were convinced there was a god, that doesn't automatically mean we would join a religion and worship it.

Seriously, I don't think certain people can comprehend this.

It allows me great clarity to be able to assess the evidence and arguments knowing that the outcome either way actually won't impact me at all. I have no vested interest either way.

Here is what appears to be a foolish question... Did you actually click on the links provided by this "af preacher?"

Maybe if he provided links to previous threads of his own work, he isn't posting to tracts of scripture or some other well worn church tactic. Perhaps this "af preacher" is pointing back to to an experience, or arguement (or both) that he has had in the past the directly addresses what you (one of many people like you/ex Christians ) have to say and think about 'proof of God.'

Maybe this "af preacher" is looking to see how envolved you will get on this topic before he willing to invest the effort needed to give a noob shooting cliche'-ed/atheist standard arguments from the hip.

Standard atheist argument= standard Christian response..

Or at least that how I would do it.

Theistically, they are amongst the smartest of their like-minded peers, and they always wonder why their misguided intelligence goes unnoticed and gets ridiculed when confronted with actual reason.

I believe that my original post states that I clicked on the links.  
arguement should be spelled "argument".   envolved should be spelled "involved".   "he willing to invest the effort"   --  really now.

It's not just Drippy. Every theist that comes here seems to have issues with the concept of evidence.

I think the answer here is pretty simple. As you get deeper into any religion, evidence, and any reference to it, is systematically trained out of you.

It's funny how some people expect us to accept their anecdotal "evidence" as proof of God, but are unwilling to accept as evidence those of us whose entire lifetimes have involved seeing no trace of a god anywhere.
