Television is, for the most part, a waste of time. I have found some good shows on BBC, BBC America and Netflix, but the American networks? Blech!

Breaking Bad, Dexter, Sons of Anarchy, House of Cards, True Detective (Season 1), American Horror Story.
Shows that I thought were highly overrated: Game of Thrones, Mad Men

I also watch a lot of Last Week with John Oliver.

Well between the NFL (American football) and mixed martial arts in the cage I think we have you covered .. in blood.
I've actually lost interest in (our) football along with baseball. However I intend to watch each and every game my Golden State Warriors play in the NBA this year.
Other favorite television: Game of Thrones, Survivor, Nova, Nature, Charlie Rose, The News Hour and movies (including lots of sci fi which I'd never buy a ticket to see). I don't like any of the other reality shows but I look forward to Survivor. (I wonder who will host the show long after Jeff and I die of natural causes.)
My wife is all about investigative shows like Cold Case, CSI Anyplace and Most Wanted. She also likes to listen to Judge Judy talk smack to 'idiots'. Oh and she is just monopolizing the television in our bedroom watching Ken Burns "The Civil War" .. again! I admit I found it interesting the first time but I don't intend to spend another 7 years of my life watching it again.
