Do atheists care less about swearing?
|
Indeed
The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.
For me it depends on set and setting.
When my mind is in that place (and sometimes it only takes a split second) the swearing is gonna flow no matter what. If not in that place I don't swear much. Setting is another story. If it's on AF, me-my wife and friends, bar, ............. don't care. If it's in a place where respect in speech (not swearing) is the expected standard (work, business, public,...) then I tend to show respect and not swear and kinda expect the same. If your swearing just because that is all you know, the only descriptives you know and can use, I'm less likely to pay attention to what your saying and more likely to walk away.
Being told you're delusional does not necessarily mean you're mental.
Atheists largely only exist in the context of religion, with that consideration, of course we've got a lot of fucking extraneous adjectives. You fucking fuck.

I don't swear much, as a rule, because I like to reserve the impact for when something like "fuck the fucking fuckers" is just the right word/phrase at just the right moment.
A Christian told me: if you were saved you cant lose your salvation. you're sealed with the Holy Ghost
I replied: Can I refuse? Because I find the entire concept of vicarious blood sacrifice atonement to be morally abhorrent, the concept of holding flawed creatures permanently accountable for social misbehaviors and thought crimes to be morally abhorrent, and the concept of calling something "free" when it comes with the strings of subjugation and obedience perhaps the most morally abhorrent of all... and that's without even going into the history of justifying genocide, slavery, rape, misogyny, religious intolerance, and suppression of free speech which has been attributed by your own scriptures to your deity. I want a refund. I would burn happily rather than serve the monster you profess to love.
Some Atheists don't care that much about Swearing, such as the Amazing Atheist or even Kyle from Secular Talk.
Some try not to swear, as that is simply culture, like me. Some theists don't swear much, and are hard to get off their high horse. Sometimes drunken sailors are theists. ![]() ![]()
If I were to create self aware beings knowing fully what they would do in their lifetimes, I sure wouldn't create a HELL for the majority of them to live in infinitely! That's not Love, that's sadistic. Therefore a truly loving god does not exist!
Quote:The sin is against an infinite being (God) unforgiven infinitely, therefore the punishment is infinite. Dead wrong. The actions of a finite being measured against an infinite one are infinitesimal and therefore merit infinitesimal punishment. Quote:Some people deserve hell. I say again: No exceptions. Punishment should be equal to the crime, not in excess of it. As soon as the punishment is greater than the crime, the punisher is in the wrong. ![]()
I don't give a fuck about it

I understand your sentiment as the lord's name is meant to be taken vainly - a warning telling whatever is creeping up on you to back the fuck off. |
