I've had depression long enough to know how it can sap your energy and lead you to irrational conclusions *but* that being said this guy had money. ALOT of money. He had access to a privilege that could of helped him. Unless his depression was such that he couldn't contain a rational thought in his head at any point then the choice not to get properly treated was entirely his.

I'm not one of these people who just hates on people for being rich but its not like he had to do much in the way of earning for his money. He had loads of spare time and cash. He had an opportunity to get help most people with a mental condition would kill for. If this guy wasn't well known as a youtube personality we'd all shrug our shoulders and rightfully so. Regardless of our mental status we all have to struggle to make a living, this guy didn't and this is what he did with that privilege. Any one of us would of used it properly.

I highlighted these two sentences because you're on the right track with the first area of sentence one, but then the money issue kind of bungles it. Money doesn't solve all of our issues, especially those of an irrational sort. That being said, I get your frustration.

I think we can agree that he, or anyone in his position for that matter, should have gotten help; but we didn't know his mental state.

On another note I will say that plenty of people across the financial board don't seek the help they need for many reasons. I deal with unwilling participants of the mental health arena on a day to day basis. Some with little to no financial standing and others with insurance so immaculate that it's insane. Pardon the pun.

I put this in a standalone quotation because it made me think about my intentions behind posting this a bit further, and I wanted to share my thoughts.

I admittedly didn't know this guy's work very well until his suicide, but I knew of him through a YouTuber I enjoy on a day to day basis. I ended up sharing this not because he was some famous guy, but because I thought his story was a poignant reminder that no matter where a person is in life depression and mental health disorders can take it all without help.
