I'm Canadian. Only 47, but as long as things don't change for the worse, I'll continue to be covered until I die, for doctors, hospital stays and operations. Our coverage isn't perfect though, it doesn't include many things it should in my opinion, like dental, eyecare and prescription costs (except in hospital), but there is no loss at 65. The only possible loss is if a person is receiving additional workplace benefits which will be revoked when they retire (usually at 65).

A question for Canadians and your health care
|
You will receive coverage until the day you die in Canada. If you're on the brink they won't "pull the plug" unless next-of-kin allows it, not a death panel. A lot of people down south hear nothing but lies about healthcare in Canada. Not misconceptions. Lies.

Quote:She sounds like a pickle. "Dill' is archaic Australian slang for 'idiot' as is 'drongo' (a rather stupid bird). What Americans call a 'pickle' we call a 'gherkin' or 'a dill pickle'. A 'gherkin' is usually a sweet pickled dill cucumber. 'Pickle' as a single word usually means a relish or chutney. Trivia: The only purely Aussie mortal insult I can think of is 'bludger'. Originally a pimp, today it means a parasite. |
