How do you handle the bigots in your life?

Almost every day, I think of the answer Ron Funches gave on the show @Midnight, when asked what Facebook was most useful for.
He answered, "Letting me know which of my white 'friends' is actually a racist." I replied: Can I refuse? Because I find the entire concept of vicarious blood sacrifice atonement to be morally abhorrent, the concept of holding flawed creatures permanently accountable for social misbehaviors and thought crimes to be morally abhorrent, and the concept of calling something "free" when it comes with the strings of subjugation and obedience perhaps the most morally abhorrent of all... and that's without even going into the history of justifying genocide, slavery, rape, misogyny, religious intolerance, and suppression of free speech which has been attributed by your own scriptures to your deity. I want a refund. I would burn happily rather than serve the monster you profess to love. 
Ugh, what horrible women. I think you handled the situation in the best way. You probably wouldn't have had any impact on people that screwed up. Writing out what you really want to say and not sending it is very therapeutic though! I've done that several times.
I have as little to do with bigots as possible. Instead I try and lead by example. Feel free to send me a private message.

Writing out the rant, even though I did not send it, was somewhat cathartic. It was like lancing a boil. After I walked away from it for 10 minutes, I was able to come back, write something civil, and then just get away from them. Thanks again everyone. :  This site is like my support center sometimes.
