Actually this is false. I will admit that it hasn't ever been tried before either. I wonder why
And yes, if I tried to prove to you there is a god I would succeed. I have never really tried that though and I'm not going to start.
Homeless Nutter, I hate to break it to you, but you let that settle in for a while, and then get back to re-reading the origional post.

Atheism is not a dogmatic position.
If you were actually reading all the responses to your posts, you would notice a pretty common theme. And that is, that we are atheists because we are unconvinced by the arguments put forth by theists that a god exists.
If we were convinced, then we wouldn't be atheists.
I get the impression that you do not understand how basic logic and critical thinking work.
I get the impression that you don't understand the meaning of my opening post. You must make a choice to believe in God simon moon. You ask that question to anyone in the world and you will discover that it is quite simply true.
And abundantly obvious. But simple minded atheists would never understand it.
And a christian would never- and I do mean ever- stoop so low as to prove to you that there is a God.
And as we have all tried to explain to you, belief is not a choice. It is the result of being convinced of a premise.
I can not choose to believe something that I am not convinced of.
You'd believe if you just opened your heart" is a terrible argument for religion. It's basically saying, "If you bias yourself enough, you can convince yourself that this is true." If religion were true, people wouldn't need faith to believe it -- it would be supported by good evidence.

Haven't you ever read your Bible?
Here, let me quote the appropriate passage to you -
I Peter 3:15 - But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect
See you in Hell, you false Christian!

Because Christians are mentally deficient and couldn't argument their way out of a paper bag. Because stupid people like you are so afraid of death, that they would accept any nonsense without evidence, as long as somebody promises they will never die. Because your mother was a hamster and your father smelt of elderberries...

It is also not the evidence you provide. It's the way you approach the topic you're presenting. You can be a balls to the wall atheist, hard pressed, finger pressing or whatever, but if you are not sincere, you will never see the actual battle theists see as it really does unfold. It's all about the evidence anyhow beccs, trying to intepret God is actually the first thing christians jump to (as compared to you atheists). Therefore, convincing you God is real is as easy as convincing a child.
I fail simply to see how so many have failed to convince you.
Yes, I know theism is different from atheism: that's the point we've been making. Atheism is a non belief in deities.
Oh, the "not real Christian" argument.
The various theists, whether Christian, Muslim or, in one memorable instance, Scientologist, have been VERY sincere, devout, and determined.
It's their evidence that is always lacking. It always comes down to personal experiences, claims from incredulity, or, when all else fails, threats of an imaginary torment.
And I've encountered plenty who have made the same claims I'm seeing here: variants of "Just open your heart" (something difficult, even for a cardiologist), and the like.
Beccs I hate to break this to ya babe. But christianity is all about God. Theism- is all about God. So if you plan on making any claims from the atheism slant on things, I reckon you better be making some damn good ones. Because a true theist never backs down from his God, in the face of humility even, and it is rather hurtful for some people more than it is for others. I hope you pride yourself on hurting the theists that you have (if you have). Because in truth, you've never hurt the first christian. Christians from all across the globe flock to the belief in god for the purpose of to live the ideal. Some want to live the dream. Whatever. It doesn't really matter. Just so long as you are a theist though, you will never stop trying to prove to people your religion is true.
And when it comes to personal verdicts, all the rest sits aside.
That's ALL OF THEM.

Where is Drich? He tries to convince us all the time. I would like to see the two of you debate about whether or not he is a true Christian.

Homeless Nutter you have made a fool of yourself and your post does not need responding to. I hope you enjoyed my response there though. You should really go back and try to nit pick some more. It's all you atheists ever do anyway.
