I think one of the best tools we have is to put religion on the same level as alien abduction, Crystal healing, Angel therapy, tarot cards and other such woo.
Let the believer explain why we should not.
They don't like putting Jesus in the same camp as every other kind of woo.

Totally. As soon as you claim Jesus is anything more than a standard human, he's straight into woo territory, and no different from any other.

Well, we're talking about people who have no problem with the fact that according to the Bible, god created the grass and the trees before he created the sun and the moon. You see, the greater one's capacity to believe things the absurd, the stronger one's faith is. And without faith it is impossible to please god. The Christian is required to believe the absurd.
