Problem: We didn't have eggs.

Solution: We found two cases of grapefruit in the host's basement and decided they would be a good substitute.

I'll leave it to you to imagine the sound of Hell descending on those poor people in that trailer park.

I can imagine that being hilarious! Your lucky you didn't get shot at for pulling a stunt like that.

Throwing wet paper towels onto the bathroom ceiling in school was always a laugh.

No kidding. We made our escape, drunk ninja-wannabe style, over a plowed field, the only sounds being our hysterical laughter and the rapidly approaching police siren.

They never did crack the Case of the New Year's Grapefruit Storm.

When I was around 10 I think... we were staying at my grandmother's in West Seattle. I was bored, so without telling anyone I hopped on a bus going downtown. Walked down to the waterfront, and on a lark, bought a roundtrip ticket to Bainbridge Island. Found a video arcade, played video games for awhile, and rode the ferry back to Seattle.

At that point, I realized I had lost my day bus ticket and had no more money, so I walked from the ferry terminal back to my grandma's place on Alki, and the route I knew was not the shortest at about 8 miles.

Turns out the police were out looking for me for hours.

At age 12, I accepted a dare from one of my brothers to ride my bicycle down Slemish Mountain. I made the first couple of hundred feet just fine, then the bike went one way and I went the other. I can still recall laying on the stones and watching my bicycle proceed down the mountain in a series of pretty fucking impressive bounces.

I married him because my parents weren't around much.  My mom was pregnant at the time too.  I had no fucking clue what I was doing.  I don't think I ever fooled myself into thinking it would work out.  That we loved each other or anything.  It was just sex.  It wouldn't have pissed me off so much if he just paid me off, or if he took care of the kids more.  That's just what I thought marriage was about at the time.  I mean my parents marriage wasn't much more than sex.  I never really gave love a thought.  Love was reserved for children.

You married just for sex.  Godamnit!  Why do all these other guys get so lucky? I'm probably paying penance for my arson.

I just remembered another story I was told about my very young self. When my first brother was born, I was a bit under 2, and it seems I didn't really know what he was. My parents walked in to find me jumping up and down on him one time, another time about to stab him with a safety pin, and yet another trying to drag him out of his pram.

Why I was being left alone with him is more worrying.

Your parents were on the fence about him?  Maybe you'd solve the problem, maybe not, let fate decide.  I do this whenever I see any of my children square up against the other with a weapon.  Then my wife slaps me and handles it like the only adult in the room...mostly because she is.

Bed sheet for a parachute, age 7. Worked for my GI Joe, not so much for me.

FeS/HCL stink bomb in the school cafeteria, age 14. Cleared the school for the rest of the day. Cowboys got the blame. Admin thought they some how got cow shit into the ventilation system.
