Mmmm, Rob, in what is so obvious is that you don't want to catch this : "all creations are made by one entity. For a creation to claim he/she is god; is one big fat lie".
Which makes your theory -in the eyes of believers- not so convincing, the point is broken before it was even made.
The idea of Islam, is to worship a single God.
How do we know the god we worship ?
simple : a believer prays for THAT WHO CREATED EVERYTHING.
And, I would despise a God, who can show himself to me. Remember Moses and when he told God to show himself to him ?
Quran,Sura 7
( 143 ) And when Moses arrived at Our appointed time and his Lord spoke to him, he said, "My Lord, show me [Yourself] that I may look at You." [Allah] said, "You will not see Me, but look at the mountain; if it should remain in place, then you will see Me." But when his Lord appeared to the mountain, He rendered it level, and Moses fell unconscious. And when he awoke, he said, "Exalted are You! I have repented to You, and I am the first of the believers."

I didn't understand any of that.
The question is simple: Allah shows up in front of you. How do you know that it is actually Allah, and not an arbitrarily powerful alien?
Forget about me being God, it was a way of framing the question.

OK. How would you know there was anything there, and how would you know it is Allah and not an imposter?

The creations speak for their source. If he wasn't here, we wouldnt've saw a universe with so many laws and creations.
An impostor can be tested, by asking him to mimic God. Raise the sun from the west, create a similar universe...etc, and at the end : if I can see the impostor in this life, then he is not worthy to be God.

Atlas: So you'd have no idea if Allah was right in front of you or not. You can't distinguish it from nothing. Is that right?

The extraordinary kind apparently. Personally I'd be more impressed if you found a way to convince us using nothing but widely understood principles and common sense. Still, you're the god, what are you asking us for?
