What? Why? Because it says so in some story about him?
So, to repeat, you have no way of distinguishing Allah from nothing at all. You just assume that he can't be in front of you, because you're still alive.
It appears the only evidence you have that it even exists at all is your own inability to imagine how our reality could come about by any other means. I don't know why you assume that there has to be a book lying around that just happens to tell you everything you need to know about this mysterious logical necessity.
How did anyone else get this information, if Allah is incapable of interacting or communicating without destroying everything in sight?

He is capable of everything after all, In judgement day we will see him.
In this life we won't.
But interaction ? yes he can interact with us in this life, that is included in this verse ;
( 51 ) And it is not for any human being that Allah should speak to him except by revelation or from behind a partition or that He sends a messenger to reveal, by His permission, what He wills. Indeed, He is Most High and Wise.
He won't create us with brains, then then dump us without letting us know what to do.
Our bodies cannot bear seeing him, like I told stimbo ; nuclear blasts make us go blind, right ?
I mean we can even stand looking at the sun..
