Misconceptions about Homosexuality

RE: Misconceptions about Homosexuality
Ely Wrote:You are comparing apples and oranges here. These issues are so far apart, it's absurd. I'm talking about the challenges gay people face, I'm not comparing them, because you can't compare them.

Why did you have to get me into this, Ely? Sleepy Tis you being absurd here.

Observe: Gay people suffer challenges.

A suffers B.

Single people suffer challenges.

A suffers B.

Conclusion: same damn argument. Sleepy

Dotard's valid point (in this case) is that people treat you in different ways for being anything under the sun... and that a lot of this treatment is fucking stupid. Gays have it tough? Well so do heterosexphiles. Think of all those wonderful sexual experiences they will never know before you don't feel sorry for them... and they will likely live their life sheltered from the fascinating experience of being gay. Everyone has it tough... some just more visibly and obviously than others.

Dotard Wrote:I want special laws and punishments doled out against those who commit crimes against me just because I'm..........me.

I'm with you here too.

Ely Wrote:No, there is no such thing as Gay privilege, female privilege, etc...

I do not apologize for the tirade I'm about to subject you to, but try not to be pissed before you read it, m'kie? Sleepy

Rhizo Wrote:Yes, he is a caricature of gay men, but a good example of the gay affectation/accent.

Holy cow... actually... I hear more women talk like that than I do men 0.o Holy cow... just just... just holy cow. Seriously... I am at a loss for words. Well I certainly don't talk like that... don't you worry, Dotard Tiger

RE: Misconceptions about Homosexuality
There is a problem with 'intellectualising' people and their behaviour is a tribal context...

We usually get it wrong for the individual.....

Gay , straight, or 'just not interested' ...up shot of it all is that people have a hard time expressing themselves in today's society ...I feel that the oppression from Islam, Judaic, Christian theologies is at fault. Since they all purport the "go forth and multiply" ethos.... this is high pressure to 'procreate' in support of the 'tribe' with scant consideration of the individuals need, wants or desires. So in the end 'Sexuality' is something that is not addressed satisfactorily by the mechanisms of today's society but I am hopeful that we as a global society will get over our preoccupation of words and rules and regulations.......

There are gay people who affect this way of speaking, whether its intentional or not is a matter for debate, but I guess it could work as a sort of advertising or maybe its just thats how the circle they move in talk.

I stayed in france a few years ago and after a few days I was talking like I was in 'allo 'allo.

Saying that, not all gay people do it so the it is not universal.

How's 'bringing it up to the bosses' working for you so far? Why bother continuing to do that? Oh well, I had my say, and now wonder how strongly you want to stop this guy. I must assume that he is not traumatizing you too badly. And since I don't know what exactly he has been doing to you, I can't form any opinion on how severely I think he is infringing on you. Maybe he is just putting on arm over your shoulder while talking locker room talk? Or maybe he is directly grabbing your crotch and telling you you must have sex with him, or something. I don't know, but there is a huge difference.
I'm really shitty at giving kudos and rep. That's because I would be inconsistent in remembering to do them, and also I don't really want it to show if any favouritism is happening. Even worse would be inconsistencies causing false favouritisms to show. So, fuck it. Just assume that I've given you some good rep and a number of kudos, and everyone should be happy...

It's my fight, but I thought it was a telling example of how, in the world I live in, hmosexuals don't get the short end of any sticks, and in fact get preferential treatement.

Thank you for your caring though, I appreciate that it bothers you and you would see me free of it.

Ok, good luck then, but i disagree about preferential treatment. I live in Ontario too, and sexual assault trumps false claims of discrimination (false because he'd be saying you're lying about what he's done). Proven assaults will gather public sympathy every time over a false claim that you are just saying it cuz he's gay.

Look, we haven't been dealing with the original thread topic, and that is the misconceptions about homosexuality. One misconception is that homosexuals don't have an "agenda". Well, sorry to be so blunt about it, but they do. Watch this informative video for more details:

Ah HA! I knew it! Video proof confirming my conceptions. Educational videos are like the internet and TV. It wouldn't be in/on them if it were not true.
I used to tell a lot of religious jokes. Not any more, I'm a registered sects offender.
