The serious thought of killing my stepdad crossed my mind once, I'm not going to say why. But it went away.

I have had a mostly air tight plan to kill my scumbag landlord for the last 3 years. It takes a toll mentally and emotionally to restrain myself from going through with it.

The thought crossed my mind once, when son's mom and I got together. Her ex- was an abusive stalker and one day caught her out and about and beat the shit out of her.

I weighed the pros and cons and decided to let the law handle it. It took them three months, but after my initial rage passed, we were patient with the system (she had no idea of my initial thoughts), and it worked for us -- he got eights months in jail, and after getting out he moved out of state.

Easier said than done.  Living here is expensive and trying to find a suitable place that accepts dogs (I have two small chiuauas) that doesn't cost and arm and a leg is very hard.
That said the damage and torment he has done is deserving of at minimum a swift kick in the gonads

More like the legal sense. I'm not counting self-defence or even self preservation in extreme circumstances (it's your only realistic means to escape or survive). And not combat situations like war.

I'm talking about laying a plan in advance to kill someone, when there are at least some viable alternatives.
