Already told you. The philosopher Immanuel Kant debunked Aquinas. Go and debunk Kant, quote his arguments and then come back and post them on a thread and show us how much more logical you are than Kant.

...or fail to do so and let us laugh Big Grin

Get your shit together, Evie. Kant didn't agree with Aquinas. That means that Kant didn't understand Aquinas. Tongue

Because he created two accounts with contradictory information (one claims atheist, one claims Christian). As you can imagine, this raises questions as to whether he's here to troll us. He has provided an explanation that IMO does not fit the facts.

We're deciding whether or not he gets to keep one.

We are the gods that God has nightmares about.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

The way things usually work is that a member will present in their own words the arguments made by those with whom they agree, like Kant for example. This way, the other party doesn't have to guess at what the original member considers applicable.

Congratulations, though. At least you have identified one serious objection to Aquinas, shared by Aristotle, Hume, Kant, Frege and Russell. The idea, as I understand it is that 'existence' is not a property in itself. Now, would you care to present that argument yourself or are you content to make an argument from authority?

So. . . you're saying that a Christian on these here forums seems to be dishonest and deliberately deceitful?

What were the odds? Tongue

I would actually be interested in a bizzaro debate, each contestant arguing against what they actually believe.

I'm not sure what he is, other than dishonest.

Maybe he's Kirk from the Star Trek episode where the transporter split him in two. Which one do you think TIG's is?
