what I'm saying is, Muhammed took something which was already exist, compiled it with some other beliefs and served it as a new meal.. Just like Jesus did before him or Muses did before Jesus. all are connected you see. Think why all single-god religions emerged from that area..They affected from each other. you also may know that arab people and jewish people are relatives.(ironic isn't it.)

I am thinking that annatar is correct in stating that all of the religions on this planet are from earlier religious forms of worship. It is no surprise that Judaism, Islam and Christianity can be lumped together since all emerged from the same geographical location. It think it has been demonstrated on this forum that even the Judaic religion has it's basis in Babylonian deity worship.

My perception is that Buddhism grew directly from Hinduism,borrowing many of its core beliefs.
EG: reincarnation,; ahimsa; (lack of harm) and the nature of suffering,'maya' (delusion) This is beautifully outlindined in the Baghavad Gita,(sometimes called 'the Hindu bible') a dialogue between Arjuna and Krsna.


In my opinion,reading the Gita will help in understanding Buddhism.

@annatar its nice to see you here but you was not a muslim before as your claims is pretty raw and if you was born in a muslim familly and you say that Allah was a pagan thats really wierd as if you read any part of the Quran you will know that this is not the case at all(people of qurish would not have fight muslims if we was worshipping pagans)

And historically you can follow all stories in quran. some are taken from pagan beliefs and some are judaism. well.. most are from judaism

as i told before the Quran is the word of god that contains the originals of the torah and bible you will find stories that is mentioned in the torah and the Quran but read them both so you can understand why the stories is mentioned in the Quran

Actually allah himself is a pagan god and this can be easily proved by the way.
Muhammad's father's name was Abdullah and it means servant of allah. naturally muhammad's father cant be aware of his son's religion for he is dead before mohammad born. So allah is just another pagan god. allah was a common god among arab people before islam rise.

Until you can provide evidence of your god I have no reason to believe otherwise.

Not to mention that there is no god. Just because some crazy (or lying) guy came out of a cave and said god talked to him, doesn't make any of it true.

you can convince yourself of that and believe it without a reason but if you are really seeking the truth and want to know if there is god or not you have to study the scriptures and use logic and reasons to get an answer

Allah really was a pagan god he and other gods were closest friends actually... and ofcourse it's not written on quran! well i think he is kinda ashamed of his former lifestyle thats why he didn't mention..
there are several evidence that god was a pagan god and he has totems* like any other pagan god Then muslims destroyed all of that totems including el illah's(allah) and Muhammed embraced the idea of god being everywhere(which is stolen from judaism).Muhammed denied all other gods except his own god. thats why pagans and muslims battled.And the battle wasnt about religions it was about power and control of arab lands..(its always power...)
