Unless there is historical and/or legal precedent for this, I doubt it's going to happen. The US has committed far worse atrocities under different presidents and they never had to face the consequences of their actions either.

Sometimes you have to wonder how much of a logical fallacy "might makes right" is.
Say what you will about the morality, it gets results. "Oh whats that? That little philosopher over there has a counter-point? Oh no! A UAV just came out of nowhere and blasted him in two! I guess he forfeits the debate."

Might makes right is pretty much the basis of the Abrahamic religions, and most republicans are christian. Who is surprised?
