If it wasn't trying to scare me or kill me, The Overlook would be an interesting compadre.
The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.

Jesus!
You did say fictional, right? He'd be my well meaning bong sucking pacifist mate. I'm picturing him like Neil, from the young ones....

Or are we just looking for characters who have personalities that would be cool to hang out with? Either way you like! Some fun suggestions here. Wow, hanging out with Michael, Sam and Fiona would be like real like GTA missions. Certainly wouldn't be dull! Feel free to send me a private message.

When I'm sure no one's looking and I'm alone I argue with myself. Does that count?
What was the role Linda Lovelace played in deep throat?
You can fix ignorance, you can't fix stupid. Tinkety Tonk and down with the Nazis.
I'd love to be friends with this character my husband created. She's an assassin who also bakes and is a bit hyper and makes pop culture references. She'd be a lot of fun to hang out with, even though she's super obscure.
On the more mainstream side of things, I'd like to be friends with Claudia Donovan of Warehouse 13. She just seems like a lot of fun. And The Doctor of course, because I'd love to travel through time. Being a companion would be awesome. Even if it were just for one or two trips.
Hmmm...I'm sure I could come up with more, but when I thought you could only choose one, I wanted Oy from Kings the Dark Tower series. But if I could have more, I might want to hang with the whole gang, Roland, Eddie, Susannah, and Jake.
Playing Cluedo with my mum while I was at Uni: "You did WHAT? With WHO? WHERE???"
If I could have any character from the world of fiction come to life and be my friend, who would I pick? I don't read a lot of fiction but I was very taken by the character in Crime and Punishment, Rodion Romanovich Raskolnikov, who said:
Quote:"What do you think?" shouted Razumikhin, louder than ever, "you think I am attacking them for talking nonsense? Not a bit! I like them to talk nonsense. That's man's one privilege over all creation. Through error you come to the truth! I am a man because I err! You never reach any truth without making fourteen mistakes and very likely a hundred and fourteen. And a fine thing, too, in its way; but we can't even make mistakes on our own account! Talk nonsense, but talk your own nonsense, and I'll kiss you for it. To go wrong in one's own way is better than to go right in someone else's. In the first case you are a man, in the second you're no better than a bird. Truth won't escape you, but life can be cramped." Probably not an easy person to hang with but I felt close to him when I read it.
Or I could go with Eduard Stark from Game of Thrones.
Eduard Stark Okay Rob Stark! Rob Stark Jon Snow then. Jon Snow Fuck it. |
