Just A Few More Weeks Until The New Star Wars!!!!!!!!!!

There is actually a lot of biblical references in Star Wars, though. Anikan being born to a virgin mother, him betraying the Jedi (heaven) and thus being cast to hell (Mustafar) and many other things. In the Clone Wars, Darth Maul's brother even encountered a talking snake that deceived him while claiming to be leading him to something he was seeking. There's a lot of that shit in Star Wars.

Yes, just like Neo has some obvious similarities to jesus. But neither The Matrix nor Star wars are direct retelling of the bible. As you pointed out earler, there are elements of eastern religion, modern politics, historical wars, etc. It isn't just a modern retelling of the bible, as the linked article claims.

There is nothing new under the sun. I could easily write a point for point comparison on how Star Wars is really a retelling of the Odyssey, or Beowulf. Or how Harry Potter is clearly ripped off from Hercules. I mean, hero and sacrifice stories, especially, are easy to compare to the bible, but there are older versions of both.
