Yes, except we don't know what that ultimate purpose for sin is, apart from using it to punish or not punish us. Going back to the hammer analogy, the purpose is either:
  • To showcase the hammer and/or to show when it's not being used, or
  • Some unstated purpose. Maybe there is some other purpose analogous to "hold stuff together", but I haven't heard what that is, yet.

Yeah, I was getting that impression. We've changed topic pages ago from the OP, and this has mostly been you justifying things that don't make sense to me with other things that don't make sense, and me applying terms too broadly in some cases.

If nothing else we had a civil exchange of ideas for fifteen pages or so.  That's impressive.

If it could be proven beyond doubt that God exists...
and that He is the one spoken of in the Bible...
would you repent of your sins and place your faith in Jesus Christ?
