-fixion is the proper spelling. -fiction is what it really is.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'

Crucifixion - the horrible way to die.
Crucifiction - the story of Jesus

Which is it ffs??
Looking for internal consistency from Christians and Christianity is a bit much, don't you think?

This plan has been on display all along, from the beginning.
In the beginning there were two trees, the tree of life and the tree of good and evil. After man was banished from the garden, God cut man off from the tree of life lest he eats from it and lives forever.
Quote:Genesis 3
22 And the Lord God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:
23 Therefore the Lord God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken.
24 So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life.
Notice how there is a cherubim guarding THE WAY of the tree of life?
Quote:John 14:6
Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
There is only one way to live forever and that is through the crucified Jesus Christ, WHICH IS THE TREE OF LIFE (not yelling, just emphasizing).
Quote:John 6:53
Jesus said to them, "Very truly I tell you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you.
Quote:1 Peter 2:24
Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.
If Jesus Christ is the human manifestation of tree of life, who is the human manifestation of the tree of Good and Evil?
That would be Judas.
Notice that it was a tree of both good AND evil, not just evil, in other words this is HYPOCRISY.
Judas wasn't a totally bad guy, at one point Jesus told his disciples to rejoice because their names were written in the book of life, Judas was included in that. Judas at one point complained when a certain woman poured perfume on Jesus feet, saying the money could have been given to the poor. Was he thinking about the poor when he decided to betray Jesus for 30 pieces of silver?
Quote:John 12
3 Then took Mary a pound of ointment of spikenard, very costly, and anointed the feet of Jesus, and wiped his feet with her hair: and the house was filled with the odour of the ointment.
4 Then saith one of his disciples, Judas Iscariot, Simon's son, which should betray him,
5 Why was not this ointment sold for three hundred pence, and given to the poor?
6 This he said, not that he cared for the poor; but because he was a thief, and had the bag, and bare what was put therein.
In other words, he was embezzling money since he held the money bag, and wanted more money to steal from.
If there is one thing God cannot stand, it is hypocrisy.
Quote:Revelation 3
15 I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.
16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.
Therefore Judas, being a HYPOCRITE (good and evil), hanged himself on a TREE, symbolizing the tree of good and evil.
And there you have it,
Jesus hanging on a tree = the tree of life,
Judas hanging on a tree = the tree of good and evil.
make sense?

Not as bad as you, I'm happy to say.

Judas: another scapegoat for the Abrahamic blood god.

Huggy, I don't doubt for a moment that in any other instance of a work of literature showing such a high degree of symbolic parallelism, you wouldn't hesitate to ascribe it to authorial artifice. Please justify your treating the Gospels differently.
"I really, really believe it" isn't a good enough reason.

I think someone needs to look up the definition of scapegoat.
What happened to Judas was a direct result of his own actions, mainly because he didn't believe that Jesus was who he said he was.

What happened to Judas was a direct result of his own actions, mainly because he didn't believe that Jesus was who he said he was.
But Jesus was supposedly sent to BE sacrificed and Judas was carrying out god's plan.
And according to the gospel of Judas, he was ASKED by Jesus to betray him...
