Do you not buy products made or harvested by people who get paid less that a fair wage/compensation for them? (which is the Oxford/English dictionary of a Slave.) then with every dollar or whatever currency you do spend to obtain these products, you do indeed support the slave trade. Further more it makes you a big giant hypocrite to stand on your high horse and condemn others for what you yourself are doing without objection! What's even worse is your own self-righteousness will not allow you to see; without the modern slave trade billions would starve and die! The solution is not to banish all slavery, but to regulate it. The 'Stoop-id' people of the world need to be made to understand that Slavery is apart of all of our lives like it or not. We have yet been able to even conceive of a money based society without slavery holding up the foundations of said society, let alone create one. The closest thing we have done is to lock the word slavery to a single definition (what was known as chattle slavery) and pretend that if chattle slavery is not happening slavery on mass is not happening. this is propaganda spread by the self righteous.
All d-bags like you do is re-lable modern day slaves so you can pretend you are not apart of a society that condones it. Wake up , man up and "own" your part in modern day slavery so we can collectively demand that they get better treatment, rather than turn a blind eye to it just so you can pretend to be (self) righteous.
Oh, and BTW if you don't want to be apart of this conversation, a conversation that has me pointing out your involvement in modern slavery, then simply do not respond. Know I am not seeking you out specifically, I have no idea who you are sport. I am simply point out inconsistencies in ALL westerns lives when they claim to not be complicit in slavery. Again if YOU do not want to be apart of the conversation simply bow out. Understand I did not call you out, you elected to be apart of this conversation. (douche bag)
What would "modern slavery" prove about any god existing, much less yours, even if we agreed with you. If anything causes humans to use others as forced labor, or sex slaves, still has nothing to do with a sky hero existing. It would be because of lack of economic stability though. Humans that are not desperate and have more of the basics are less likely to be a desperate criminal or a desperate victim.
We also have that "modern slavery" in the form of exploding pay gap. It causes labor to have to work more for less and be at the mercy of big corporations who pass them around like poker chips.
Even if one acknowledges slavery still exists in the modern world, that is still not the same as condoning it. Drich is retarded as fuck.

It's slightly worrying how a being of incredible power chooses to set things up so that slavery is possible, let alone necessary.
Well, worrying if we assume he's not an asshole.

maybe you don't understand or are familiar with the word "condone." it means: Approve or sanction (something), especially with reluctance: the practice is not officially condoned by any airline.
according to the Oxford English Dictionary..
You know kinda like how you all spend you money to buy stuff produced by slaves, and yet don't really like the idea...
You don't like the idea of slavery but condone it because you want access to all basic foods, cheap electronics and appliances more.

Again, just because someone accept that slavery is real doesn't mean they aren't opposing it. You can't speak for anyone here as to whether or not they condone slavery simply because you don't know anything about them.
Not to mention that your idea of God clearly does not see slavery as a bad thing, whereas many members here do.

The purpose of pulling back the curtain on slavery are first for the benfit of the slaves society employs to 'do the dirty work' we all need done. Two it shows a standing hyprocrisy in those who want to 'morally condemn' God for condoning slavery/setting rules for it.
Because the hypocrite is quick to point out how God has rules for slaves, and the hypocrite while benefiting from slaves turns a blind eye to slavery allowing these monster corporations to treat slaves as horridly as they see fit. (because again according to the all powerful consumer who turns a blind eye, slaves do not exist so we need not ask any questions to the nature of how our fav products reach out stores!

Which isn't the pop culture definition of 'slavery' but is indeed slavery by the definition of the word. Not paying a living wage, making people sign impossible work quota contracts (contracts that indebts a person to produce so much product per hour/or work so many hours per week till a given end date. Literally makes them a slave/can not leave till their contract is complete or they in some cases can buy themselves out!) All examples of slavery, not used to prove God, but to show the hypocrisy in those who want to judge God for condoning slaves.
(using the same measure to judge you, as you use to judge God, and showing you how far your 'moral judgments fall short!)

God gave us complete reign over this world and Slavery is what we wanted.
Which again in of itself does not have to be a bad thing. It's when the people in authority choose to abuse or even people who have contracted themselves out do not meet their agreed upon tasks/goals that it becomes a bad thing.. Or even when greed takes the person who is in authority they want more work in exchange for what is right or fair, does slavery become a bad thing.
Slavery is an institution that bring out the very best or the very worst in people, and as history has shown unchecked slavery always brings out the very worst.

So wait...
Are you actually saying, that in some form, under the right hands, slavery is actually okay?
Please describe under what circumstances and what this slavery would look like.
You'd believe if you just opened your heart" is a terrible argument for religion. It's basically saying, "If you bias yourself enough, you can convince yourself that this is true." If religion were true, people wouldn't need faith to believe it -- it would be supported by good evidence.
