Name that movie

RE: Name that movie
The feet of a young ballet dancer, who ended her life when she lost her ambition. These legs... walked the streets. You remember the hooker who was killed in ER by her pimp last week? Think of all the bodies these legs have wrapped around. What was the value of her life, to end up being picked apart by the likes of Dr. Graves and his bumbling students? And here, the womb of the virgin, struck down before tasting the pleasures of life, you remember? Her skin, so soft, so warm, but so cold in death. The arms of the waitress. The lawyers hand - case dismissed. Look at this delicate piece, what do you think? A sculptress? A harpist? Would you believe, a murderess? But they're all equal now, nothing but cast off remnants of a meaningless existence.
The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.

I didn't care much for the second movie, but the first is great. I still laugh whenever I think of Greg bullshitting his way through dinner, talking about milking the fictional cat Geppetto.

I was once asked completely unexpectedly to say grace at the dinner table by people who assumed due to a misunderstanding that I was practising protestant, after not ever having done it in my entire life in my native language, let alone in English. I can so relate to that scene. Dear... erm... Lord. We erm.... thank you for this erm.... lol

Lol. When I was about 8, I spent a Christmas with my dad's side of the family -- mostly staunch Catholics. I was asked to say grace before Christmas dinner. I had no idea that it was supposed to go, "Bless us, oh Lord, for these thy gifts, which we are about to receive from thy bounty through Christ, our Lord. Amen." Raised lukewarm Lutheran on my mom's side, I wasn't accustomed to praying before a meal and just made it up as I went. After rambling for I don't know how long, I said "Amen" with palpable relief. When I looked up, everyone at the table was just staring at me. Finally, my grandfather said, "Jesus Christ, you pray like a Baptist!"

Grandma was kind enough to give me props for the effort.

I pictured this line being delivered by Jack Nicholson as Col. Jessup in A Few Good Men.
