Scientific knowledge versus spiritual knowledge

They both are.

One using the scientific method, the other through the selfless conscience, instinct, scripture, and nature of actions.

.......those would be pretty poor tests.  OTOH< I applaud you for considering god to be testable. Name your god, let's test it? We'll test it against selfless conscience, instincts, scripture, and the nature of actions. How does that sound?
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

An atheist, a deist and a religious theist find a treasure chest. It's locked up tight, and there's no way to investigate what's inside.

Atheist: "I wonder if there is anything inside."

Deist: "Of course there is something inside. I wonder what it is."

Theist: "It's a potion of eternal life."

Wonder what they would say if they could open it but there was nothing inside.
If one adheres to a belief for its proposed or assumed reward, then they aren't actually faithful so much as greedy.

By the way someone mentioned the word Faith in religious terms.

Faith is utter belief in God, and a reflection of that belief in all aspects of life at all times. It is verifiable and strengthened through testing ones own Faith continually.

Faith in selfless Unity for Good.

Generally? In my experience, the "militant" ones have a very strong agenda to end all organized religious practice.

Human nature?
What formed nature and man and the laws that bind us?

Is that your experience in fantasyland, that you're referring to?

Part of you is his name. You got to see that part and rise it over the unclean word.

Like that blue butt Rafiki said to Simba "see he lives in you".

It's up to you Rhythm. Will you look harder into your reflection or are you satisfied with saying, it's only your reflection?

Nonsense; that is to say that none acquired any knowledge of any sort prior to refined scientific methodology. That's absolutely bullshit. Sorry

Peace

@Mystic

Perhaps part of you, but not me.  I've got nothing to do with your god.   My reflection is, by definition, my reflection.  If in my reflection there -were- the face of god...we'd be in a hell of alot of trouble. One has to wonder, though..what part of me, in your estimation, reflects god? What if my comments, to you, are that reflection?

Perhaps your god is trying to tell you, through me, that your statements regarding god and goodness are an embarrassment to god and goodness.

The praiseworthy parts, the valuable, the treasured part, the good part, the beautiful part, the light part.
