Islam and its History and Impact of Prophet Muhammad(PBUH)
RE: Islam and its History and Impact of Prophet Muhammad(PBUH)
I am a Muslim and have been a Muslim all my life

20 years ago, when i was Muslims(and many other people) long before we become "popular" on the news, the religion i had was the same

most people didnt even know what Islam was and what Muslims where

but i still have the same faith back then as i have now

and what's changed? for me nothing, and for the people around me nothing, we are still practising the same faith

when these other people started to make the news we were as shocked as anyone else

but the worst part is that the standards that are applied to us, are not applied to ANYTHING else or ANYONE else

it is entirely ignorant what standards are applied to us

for example people quote 1 verse from the Quran

famously :

And slay them wherever ye find them, and drive them out of the places whence they drove you out, for persecution is worse than slaughter. And fight not with them at the Inviolable Place of Worship until they first attack you there, but if they attack you (there) then slay them. Such is the reward of disbelievers.

but if they had gone back one verse

Fight in the way of Allah against those who fight against you, but begin not hostilities. Lo! Allah loveth not aggressors.

they would have seen a precondition and a post condition

and this is referring to a defensive wars

as i already described the history of the arabs here , they were extremely brutal people , like i said they would bury their own daughters, and persecute many

so when they attacked the Prophet , the Prophet was told directly by God to defend himself

but even in that defence he was to be careful to be just and not transgress the bounds

"And if they cease, then indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful."

"And fight them until persecution is no more, and religion is for Allah. But if they desist, then let there be no hostility except against wrong-doers."

the same way if somebody were to attack your own homes, how would you react?

would you let them walk over you or would you defend yourself?

this is reasonable and simple , any sane person can explain this

and what about this verse :

"I am with you, so strengthen those who have believed. I will cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieved, so strike [them] upon the necks..."

if anyone bothered they would see this has NOTHING to do with war , and people, this is about a past event that was described and God's instruction to the angels, which is to physical or referring to physical action, but rather something else , which again is misquoted

[Remember] when your Lord inspired to the angels, "I am with you, so strengthen those who have believed. I will cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieved, so strike [them] upon the necks and strike from them every fingertip."

and finally if your going to take the Quran by one sentence , and who does that?

who takes a book by one sentence and says "this is the book"

nobody does that with ANY book, and it is extremely prejudice and ignorant to do so and is actually what ISIS do, and how they fool uneducated people and brainwash them

so if your going to be also propagating one sentence out of context and out of reference, then your doing what ISIS do

but furthermore why not quote the OTHER verses of the Quran

"Because of that, We decreed upon the Children of Israel that whoever kills a soul unless for a soul or for corruption [done] in the land - it is as if he had slain mankind entirely. And whoever saves one - it is as if he had saved mankind entirely. "

here clearly Quran says that killing an innocent person is equivalent to killing the entire world

and again , you guys insist that all Muslims are evil and secretly sinister

this is paranoia and completely wrong

as i said 2 billion Muslims in the world , everyone had said this from Australian governments, to American governments, to British governments and the list goes on

all have said that the "majority of Muslims are good people"

even trump with all his rhetoric had said "i have Muslims friends and i know many Muslim and they are good people"

so its not fair to paint everyone with the same brush

and entirely paranoid

I'm doing just fine without imaginary friends, thank you. I'm not looking for impressive looking things to throw myself down in front of. I have more self respect than that.

I'll concentrate on caring about the demonstrably real life forms around me. If you enjoy playing with God, that's fine. If he wants to come talk to me, I'm sure he is big enough and ugly enough to do it himself.

And ask yourself this question, why would we want to be at war with anyone? why would we want to follow ANY religion that tells us to kill and rape and behead?

which sane person would follow such nonsense? no sane person

and of course the truth is that Islam is a beautiful religion, full of spirituality and justice and morals and love, it is a lifestyle thats true , but we enjoy this lifestyle, we enjoy not drinking alcohol or eating pork, we enjoy praying 5 times a day, we enjoy our high standard of morals

we love our connection with God , we celebrate the high and sublime morals and beautiful character of Prophet Muhammad(PBUH) and his message and the huge change he has done to the world in the positive way

that is why we are Muslims

forget the issue of God, that's not what i am talking about here

i am talking about what YOU believe WE believe and how misrepresented and misconceptions against us , which are completely wrong

and i came here to correct those misconception

you can believe or not believe in whatever you want, but at least be free people of the mind and know the truth instead of nonsense hearsay

besides you could have come to those conclusions on your own if you did a bit of genuine research and opened your mind from unbiased sources

...all very good questions........

Precisely my contention, yes.

Quote:and of course the truth is that Islam is a beautiful religion, full of spirituality and justice and morals and love, it is a lifestyle thats true , but we enjoy this lifestyle, we enjoy not drinking alcohol or eating pork, we enjoy praying 5 times a day, we enjoy our high standard of morals
-thus answering the question you opened up with.  You follow such a religion because you think it's beautiful, full of justice and "spirituality"..but most importantly, because you enjoy it and think it's true.  A common narrative.

Quote:we love our connection with God , we celebrate the high and sublime morals and beautiful character of Prophet Muhammad(PBUH) and his message and the huge change he has done to the world in the positive way

that is why we are Muslims

Some of you have a funny way of expressing that, yourself included..though by no means are you the worst representative. At least you're content to threaten us with hell, rather than send us there.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. This is exactly why I always push for a definition of what the other person believes before I even try to engage with it. Then I know we're aiming at the same target and I've nailed their trousers to the mast right from the off.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

Never gonna win that one, Stim...if you end up disagreeing, it -must- be because you don't understand.  If they say their faith is beautiful, and you say it's not....you just didn't understand, couldn't have understood, because it is undeniably and inarguably beautiful...... and to posit otherwise is blasphemy.

Enjoy an eternity in agony over your opinions on what is or is not pretty.

True enough. But at least I can have fun on the journey throwing their own words back at them.
