The fool hath said in his heart, There is a God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.

Rickman was one of those rare actors who never (to my knowledge) gave a bad performance. He may have been in a stinker of a film, but Rickman himself always shone like a new penny.

"Ironically like the nativist far-Right, which despises multiculturalism, but benefits from its ideas of difference to scapegoat the other and to promote its own white identity politics; these postmodernists, leftists, feminists and liberals also use multiculturalism, to side with the oppressor, by demanding respect and tolerance for oppression characterised as 'difference', no matter how intolerable." - Maryam Namazie
I have not been so saddened to hear of a celebrity death since...well I can't remember! He was and is one of my favorite actors. I was just (re)watching Galaxy Quest and laughing with my family to his great humor 2 days ago! Of course, as a die hard HP nerd, he is and always will be Snape. The villain, the hero, the deepest character in the whole series. May he RIP.
And here is a great role people always seem to forget. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CJUr7jMpKTs

Yes, not be be cruel to other people, but I thought...if there really was a God, then celebs like Trump and Kim Kardashian would be dying of cancer, instead of great human beings like Bowie and Rickman.

Anyone remember Rickman as the oily, semi-genocidal rancher in 'Quigley Down Under'? One of his best unsung performances.
