No.

I (and other admins) have in the past, when investigating reports that require us to do so.  I happens infrequently, and I personally didn't like having to do it on the rare occasions when I have.  That being said, you should not consider PM a secure channel.

Dang, so I can't send naked pics to CM.  Wink
"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."

It's pretty ad hoc, actually. Someone suggests we need another, or someone has stepped down and needs replacing. We nominate people, discuss who we like and why, and eventually it comes down to a vote. Who ever gets the most, gets asked first. If they say no, we've generally revoted, though we have gone on to ask the second most vote getter.

It's a pretty informal process. Generally speaking, I like to see someone who's been a regular for some time - at least a year - is well-liked, and reasonable.

Can only speak for myself - I personally have no objection to you being here.

No, you can. Just make sure to copy the staff so we know it's all legit and shit.

The admins have a section that only they can access as well, but we only use that to gossip about the mods (1).

(1) Joke not valid in all areas. Check your local laws.

Wait... WHAT!!! I DEMAND ACCESS!!!!
"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great

We participate in the moderation process as well. We also have access to the software Admin Control Panel which allows us to change the configuration of the software, view logs, modify permissions/users/what have you.

Basically the difference is like the difference between driving a Ford Pinto versus driving, well, pretty much anything else (2) that doesn't suck (1).

(1) Joke may betray poster's age.
(2) Except a Chevy Chevette.

Can I have a breakdown of funding to keep this forum going?

Eg: Tibs personal money 50%, sale of meth 25%, sale of Becc's vids to pornhub 25%, etc
No God, No fear.
