That's not what the Brights movement was about. "Bright" was opposed to "Murky" meaning the fact that the whole concept of "God" is not clearly defined, and Daniel Dennett advocated it before Dawkins did.

TGD is a very good book. He's not the most polite but he's certainly not the least polite and he attacks the ideas not the people.

There is nothing anti-Semitic in saying that god depicted in Bible is primitive, tribal and bloodthirsty deity. But I suppose it is easier to hide behind insults than face reality.
The first revolt is against the supreme tyranny of theology, of the phantom of God. As long as we have a master in heaven, we will be slaves on earth.
