I realized tonight: I really don't like the way they handle Scully's character. Her skepticism always comes off as... flat-earth atheist. Which is kind of weird, since she's the Catholic and Mulder's the Atheist.

I enjoyed it; it was fun, funny, silly and generally what I enjoy about Darin Morgan episodes. It might have lacked a bit of the dry, serious undertone that episodes like Clyde Bruckman's Final Repose had, but I still thought it was good.
And I cannot believe it has been left up to me to point out that the two stoners at the very beginning were the same stoners from Quagmire that are sitting on the dock at the lake licking frogs! Did no one else pick up on that?!?
This guy is not only in Quagmire, but he's also the stoner in The War of the Coprophages, too!

I think she's gotten some distance between the original show and now so that she's trying to bring something new to Scully. Maybe the idea is that since she's become a pediatric super-doctor she's learned to have a better, more personable bedside manner and that has changed her since coming back to the X-Files.

She's never been a very good skeptic.

Lol, yeah I love those guys. They haven't changed much in 13 some odd years, have they? Also, the actor who played the hotel manager was from "Humbug". [emoji41]

I quite liked last night's monster episode.

How did you all enjoy the series in the 90s? I was but a wee lad then, and what little I saw of it I thought quite scary.
I believe even now it is signifcantly creepier than say, "Supernatural?"

I watched the old episodes regularly back then... the lizard-man episode the other night felt a lot like the old-school x-files to me; seemed a little like a throwback for fans.

When is season 2 of "Better Call Saul" anyway? I mean it wasn't as good but it was very watchable.
It should premiere very soon now.
