I’m an atheist. So why can’t I shake God?

Or better at critical thinking.

Sure, some believers may be angry at something called god and then they get confused and start calling themselves atheists. But atheist being angry at god? Give me a break.

Believer who like preaching, even when other don't care for his nonsense. How surprising.

What lessons? That fable that you were indoctrinated to believe in is true? Laughable notion.

Wasn't it deism? Also why should anybody care? God isn't less absurd cause some guy say so.
The first revolt is against the supreme tyranny of theology, of the phantom of God. As long as we have a master in heaven, we will be slaves on earth.

Some people can't think logically, and aren't interested in learning how to do so. And they are apparently proud of it.

That's all I'm reading from all this.

I couldn't believe in "God" even if I wanted to, because I don't know what the fuck it is.

Yes. Oh lord yes. Praise Jebus for this force stopping me from investigating the rest of the Galaxy! Which was made just for me!

Except, you know, it would kill me instantly.

Well, the possive focus is good.

I don't think you know what confirmation bias means. Goggle it, because you appear to have a lot of it and it isn't a good thing.

Quote:Not that anyone will take this seriously, but I still remember the day my dad told me rake the leaves from the front lawn when I got home from school. I didn't want to, so started watching TV after school. I actually prayed which I don't normally do that I wouldn't have to rake the leaves. In the next 30 minutes the wind really picked up and blew all the leaves off the front lawn.

Okay so you don't have much in the way of work ethic, honesty, or common sense. Got it.

No you can't control the weather, but you at least can mistake it for a miracle.

So now I'm left wondering if you are a Poe, because it's hard to believe anyone is quite so simple minded.
If there is a god, I want to believe that there is a god.  If there is not a god, I want to believe that there is no god.

Yeah, I suspect he's a Poe.

The next play is for him to ask what a Poe is. He didn't do that last time I mentioned it, so he may be playing the double bluff.

I was setting you up to say: "I still wouldn't believe because the theory of gravity is still just a theory!"  hehe  Tongue

I would also say, that almost everyone (excluding crazy people and small children) knows IN THEIR BRAIN, that god does not exist - some just kid themselves and each other, in order to avoid the sad reality, that life is short, death is final, most of us are powerless and insignificant, and most of injustice we encounter will never be accounted for, or corrected and the guilty will go unpunished.

Since most people can't even define God using words that mean anything, I highly doubt most people "know God exists". And certainly not in their heart.
