Autoerotic asphyxiation?

Too soon?

That would be hilarious, lol.

He supposedly said he didn't feel well went he went to bed. My guess is something cardiac-related. Perhaps an undiagnosed arrhythmia. It was obviously unexpected.

Yeah pretty much has to be something like a heart attack, stroke or a massive bilateral pulmonary embolism. The list of natural causes I'm aware of that can kill you that suddenly is pretty damn short.

You do realize that only Catholics and Jews have been appointed to the SCOTUS for decades?  It's time to kick their asses to the curb.

Boru

It's too bad the lake of fire is imaginary.  He definitely needs to be in it.

So Boru's quoted version is more or less a paraphrase of what the turd(*) really said. Cool. What an asshole(*).

(*) I don't generally speak ill of the recently deceased, but a) I deliberately toned down both expletives significantly and b) the bastard(*) richly deserves it.

It's more likely to happen if Obama manages to push a compromise justice through but:

If a Republican wins the Presidency and gets to make the pick, their guy would probably pick somebody worse than an anti-Souter. If a Democrat wins, we get to pick 1-3 to replace Ginsburg, Breyer and/or Kennedy anyway. It seems like the odds are better for Obama taking a chance if he gets it.

If Obama has any balls he will announce his choice Monday morning.  I would have done it this evening.

Catholics and Jews? Oh my!

Not really, though. It is a wildly misrepresentative paraphrase, if you could even call it a paraphrase. I cannot stand Scalia as a jurist; I think he let his religion dictate his stance rather than the Constitution, which is his job.

But I wouldn't stand for someone wildly misquoting Bernie Sanders for political gain, and I don't think we should willfully do the same because we don't agree with someone's politics, even if the person is a veritable theocrat.
"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great

If there was any real justice in America the Clinton gang would be inmates at GITMO.

I'm really going to be pissed if we get another Catholic or Jew on the Court.
