Mama, never, ever apologise or feel guilty for things beyond your control. Namely: childhood indoctrination.
Most here see it as a form of child abuse.
You've done well ...you're are mentally stronger than most. (statistically speaking)

Yup. Just think, there are many people who will never realize they were programmed with donkey bollocks information. Never. That's really sad to me.
Not until after they die, and they think, "What the shit? I've been conned! I'm not even thinking this, because I can't think anymore!"

Thanks. I started an atheist meetup in my town a couple years back, and almost every member that ever joined was oblivious to what growing up in a fundie home is like. When I told them my stories, they were shocked. Now I pulled my former pastor parents out and they're enjoying their newly found freedom!

True. At least my kids won't grow up in church devoting their lives to a lie.

If you don't like mama, we can call you Steel's mum? Or maybe Aunty Gladys? Or just plain Kevin? You tell us what you're comfortable with. hehe

Mamacita, mama, mami, steelsmom, madre, even Kevin. Lol! Just never ever ever call me "dear". Ever. Really. I just blush with mamacita because it sounds so sexy.

Lmfao! Something like that. When clients call me dear or "mija" at work, I basically shut down. My pulse goes crazy and I feel my neck will explode. It's a trigger.

me. I usually say around the age of 9 (3rd gd). I never believed but I am sure I had to at some point. The part that got me was "He died for our sins.". I always said 'But he made us?" I didnt know much back then but I knew they had and have the traits wrong. Claiming "nothing" is not reasonable, but a guy dyeing, awaking up, and then flying away ... really?

I was never indoctrinated into any of the cults so I am atheist by default.
