Nancy Reagan (Anne Robbins) DEAD at age 94

From ABC News 7, this unintentionally funny reminder:

In lieu of flowers, we hope you will remember Mrs. Reagan with a memorial gift to the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation.

For those of us old enough to remember, Nancy was infamous for having arrangements (pun not intended, but I see it has slipped in unbidden anyhow) with all the metro Washington DC florists regarding gifts of flowers sent to the White House during the Reagen era. She would receive whatever message or note that was sent with the flowers, but not the flowers themselves. Instead, the florist would issue her a credit for the actual flowers intended and she could use that credit to send out the flowers she wanted to send, and not have to spend any money to do so.

Sort of a contract employee.  I agreed to waive my performance fee for a cut of the bar.  I'd made this arrangement before, and the bar totals always included a percentage of the cover charge.  I gigged for this bloke 2 nights a week for six weeks before I found out he wasn't including the door charge in figuring my percentage.  When I confronted him, he smiled and said words to the effect, 'You'll know better next time.'  Two years (I think) later, he died in a road crash, and I made it a point to pay me 'respects'.

A musician ripped off by a club-owner ... I bet his grave smelled like a urinal.

*chuckle* If it isn't the owners, it's the agents. I used to tell people that when I die, I wanted to be cremated and have 15% of my ashes thrown in my agent's face.

Speaking of peeing on a grave, anyone wanting to this occasion is going to have to stand in line behind step-son Michael.

His tepid tweet was on FNC earlier today. He is saddened.

(I'm just speculating, but I can imagine the sadness pertains to her not having expired sooner)
