Indeed he did, at least if you weren't a Jewish, intellectual,  artistic, gypsy, black, or free market German.  And the cost to Germans, Europe, humanity,  gays, and Jews, was astronomical.  The Middle East, Africa, Australia, a new  Asia didn't fare very well either.  And in the end Germany lost. Hitler committed suicide. Germany was divided for over thirty years.  Is that what you envision for America?  No thanks.

That's because this is 2016. Instead you are voting for the modern day equivalent. Trump is using the same exact tactics as Hitler to win votes.

He's scapegoating minorities, appealing to the basest instincts of the disenfranchised, not actually describing how he would implement any of his policies and convincing his voters that their country is the greatest and have a god given right to force their will on all other countries by being superior.

He ticks all the boxes of a fascist.

Yet the only common ground with Hitler is that Hitler used the good old recipe of fear and hate mongering to score. Back then it was jews, eyed with suspicion not only in Germany. Henri Ford wrote his infamous book in favor of antisemitism, after all.

Today it's immigrants, muslims and what Ayn Rand used to call moochers. Also common ground with Hitler, whose minions ultimately deported whoever they thought to be moochers. Well, maybe there is common ground, but ultimately it's only about inciting hatred to score brownie points with disadvantaged primitives. You can make people feel superior by presenting scapegoats and telling them they are better because they belong to a certain race, nation or group.

Hell, yes, let's make America great again. That's nationalism right there. But it's the standard repertoire of all rightwingers in the world. They create a patriotic bubble to offer a false sense of security. It's exclusive by definition and that's what their voters ultimately crave. To feel exclusive in their sorry little existences.

So, no. No Hitler. Just another wayward rightwinger who may walk the path of fascism. There have been thousands in our history. Hitler only carried it to the ultimate extreme, but as I always say, Hitler comparisons only divert attention from what the individual issues with any given rightwinger are.

What the hell is “blaxploitation” ?

You'd know if you accepted the bigotry of the party you support. It is a slur the "I'm not a bigot" morons use to accuse blacks of it being all in their heads.

The term was actual used back in the 60s and 70s to describe "black exploitation" movies that were over the top stereotypes where the majority of characters were pimps and criminals fighting each other. That was appropriate back then to call those films trash to do nothing but perpetuate fear of blacks. And those were the majority of rolls for blacks even outside B movies. You had very few movies like "A Patch Of Blue" or " Guess Whose Coming To Dinner" that put blacks in a positive light.

Today's racist middle class and trust fund kids use "blaxploitation" to ignore the economic and criminal justice inequality that still exists today. No not all the middle class or well off are racists, but far to many are, and there are many more who may not be, but still think it is all in their heads. THAT is where that word comes from.

You are  the one who brought up Hitler. Hitler was both brighter and more presidential. It remains to be seen who is more dangerous.  But Trump is of the same ilk., i.e. sowing hatred of the disenfranchised,  xenophobia,  racism,  and socialism.  But only Trump actually  campaigned on a war crimes (kill the families of terrorists) platform.  Besides, he cheats at golf.?

America is supposed to be a Christian country and what's more biblical than genocides?
