That's the part he doesn't get. I am not judging him for having more, but living in a bubble. When he talks about "lazy" I don't even have a problem with that, because that is why we invent things. That is why people even own businesses. There are those who sit at the front end, count the money and bark orders, and that is fine too, as long as they accept they are making money off the labor of others.
No different than any modern house wife who doesn't mind staying at home, but certainly wouldn't put up with the guy coming home saying "I pay the bills you do what I say".
He has no clue as to my work history, and also doesn't understand that the help I am getting is not a drain. Nobody is going to end up on cat food because of the support I get, so it really is none of his fucking business.
He's been sold a script, and just like theists, gets all bent out of shape when others don't follow his script.

I've been a SAHM for over 20 years. I'm enrolled in school and graduate sometime in January. And the ONLY reason I'm in school is because I have no marketable job skills and I refuse to take a job making minimum wage. It just won't support my family. So there it is. I need to work, but I also need school first.
Yay that I get to go into debt Eighteen thousand dollars just so that I can earn about $25,000 a year to start. And when I graduate, I'm going on to get my cosmetology license and then go back to school for another 600 credit hours to get my barbering license. When that's done, I'll work for one to two years to get some "real world" experience so that I can then spend another $8000 to get my instructors license in cosmetology and who knows how much money to get my BT license (Barber teachers)
Yep, I'll be well over $30,000 in the hole, but I will have a dual licensure so that I can teach not only cosmetology, but barbering as well.
Fun stuff this getting into debt is!

See that is the difference, I know I am lucky, some simply don't know how lucky they are. They'd have a case if we were arguing nobody have jobs at all, or nobody have more, but that is not what we are arguing. There will always be enough people wanting to work, wanting to move up and wanting to own businesses. I love how they swallow "pursuit of happiness" but what they really mean is "I am miserable unless you are a clone of me".

I don't think anyone where ever they end up should be denied the highest education they can get. A more educated society and the better paid everyone is the more stable that society is. I certainly didn't end up in the field I got my degree in. But I still wouldn't trade my education for anything.
We most certainly could move to free higher education, and it is bullshit to say we'd have to become Cuba to do that.

You know, Rob and I struggle. I hate admitting that, but we do. One paycheck isn't enough to be able to put money aside on an emergency basis after we've had to pay bills. I hate not being able to give our kids enough. I wish we didn't have to struggle so damn much, but there it is. And we are trying to do something about it, but that something takes time. If his ex wife wasn't getting way more than what she needed for child support, then we'd be okay. But she's taking nearly half his income and that's AFTER it gets taxed. AND he can't even claim the kids because if he does, his child support will get raised so that she gets even more.
She doesn't have to pay taxes on that money and I don't understand why, if she's not working, he can't claim the kids. We are filing this summer for joint custody of the boys so they are with us half the time. I'm sick of her shit and the fact that she is able bodied enough but chooses a job where she's on the schedule one or two days a week. That's not a job. That's fucking spending money. She sucks almost a grand out of Rob's paychecks a month. And she doesn't even fucking parent the kids or use that money on things they actually need. No... she spends it on CAH and her booze and her cigarettes and pot. She just spent the last six months living with her sister because she was financially irresponsible to the point that she lost her own residence.
Ugh. I try getting along with her for the sake of the kids, but she really pisses me off at times.

So. That doesn't give you the right to rub it in his face. You aren't any better than those christards who love passing judgment on people despite what their gawd says.
Why don't you just stop being a dick. I'm sure you could be a really likeable person if you had less dick in your personality than what's presumably in your pants.

Unlike some selfish people here, I see government assistance as a benefit. But if they want to say you shouldn't have it, the best way to reduce it would be to pay livable wages, provide enough hours at work, and at the same time not raise prices. But if they want me to cry for the uber rich, like the Kochs or Walmart family, I'll laugh in their faces.
