That magical time of year again...

RE: That magical time of year again...
I still think between his death on the cross, and the resurrection, Jesus was getting fisted by Satan in Hell.

And to potentially be redeeming 144,000 to possibly billions of people, it had to be a BRUTAL double fisted fisting Christ endured for all of us.

Lucky sod . . . .

Here in Australia, where hardly anyone is religious, when I say "have a happy easter", I'm implying "have a nice 4 day break from work". And we are grateful for the 4 day break. Who gives a fuck what the reasons are? Right?

No-one gives 2 shits about the queen here, but watch out s the govt tries to take away our queen's birthday long weekend!

(Her actual birthday is months off, but for some reason we have it in June)

I'm the same way.  For me, Easter is all about the Peeps and the Cadbury Cream Eggs, bitches!  I LOVE Easter!  Oh, and time with my family is nice too.  As long as they bring me Peeps.  Thanks to everyone for entertaining my rantings!  ❤️ You guys!

Easter is.................. a sunday.

Easter is a excuse for church-folk to don their finest, itchy clothing and stuff their faces with ham...That's about it.
Here endeth the lesson.

Seems he's not going to learn from YOUR example.

Lol, okay, I'll play.  So, I don't love my fellow man because I was irritated by a stranger pushing her religious beliefs on me, unprovoked?   Even though I smiled politely, left, and then came here to vent to my fellow atheists in private?  Yeah, you're right.  I'm a terrible role model for my child.

No one pushed anything on you, it was just a benign comment, don't internalize so much; the world doesn't revolve around YOU and YOUR feelings.

Why are atheists such Curmudgeons? You know, there is an atheist country called North Korea, apparently it's a utopia...  Rolleyes

No, you're right, I should relax a bit. You just let me know what your emotional reaction is when you are in the same situation and the lady exclaims, "praise Allah!" [emoji13]

Guys. Had a nice relaxing Easter Friday lunch with the family (4 generations).
Nothing exciting at all ... Just small talk at a typical Aussie family gathering.

I've posted these more so you guys can listen to the typical Aussie accent ... (Except Natalie (my niece to my right), who has spent too much time in England!)

In all honesty, "Allahu Akbar" in a vacuum doesn't bother me, but if I'm riding a plane and someone exclaims it, then I'm looking at them sideways. Big Grin

I think just in case, I'm going to carry around a d20 for the next few days. If someone wishes me a "Happy Resurrection Day", I'll take it out and roll, then yell, "Yes! I made my constitution save! The resurrection was successful!".
Then just walk away.
