"Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" teaser trailer released

Sheesh
What does the description look like in a storm trooper job application? Must be willing to walk blindly into danger while making oblivious comments. Must not intentionally avoid being shot/blown up/struck by blunt object in the most obvious traps. Must own spiffy white armor that never seems to protect from the above. IQ to be sub-creationist level, 3S below median or less.
So how, exactly, does God know that She's NOT a brain in a vat?

The fact that Hollywood is now reduced to making silly comic book movies and endless franchises of everything is the scourge of the earth and the end of all that is good. That being said, this looks absolutely fantastic and I think it was a great idea to extend the Star Wars universe beyond the strict confines the movie series, which is burdened so much by the heritage of the original trilogy. If this, stylistically, becomes something like one part Star Wars, one part BSG reimagined, I'm very happy.

First thing.... I love that perspective of the AT-AT from human level. Really emphasizes the size of those things.
Second.... could this possibly be a Phasma origin story?
I like at least that they're tying up the original story.
The will end with the princess in hiding as she has the schematics for the new weapon. The death star. Which is how episode4 "A New Hope" started.
No God, No fear.

The "imagine" part of "reimagined", barely perceptible to start with due to the distance to the galaxy far far away, appears to have now been pushed forever beyond the observation of the Star Wars franchise by accelerating cosmic expansion.
Also, snooty British accent seems to be taking over the rebellion. Peter Cushing is spinning in his grave.

I agree. It is grand enough to support them. Just one thing - Usually I would say, by all means try to keep some of the mystique about the origin of the Jedi and the Nature of the Force mystical. Don't spoil certain parts of the legend by shining too much light on it. But that ship has kinda sailed with the three prequels. Getting to see an action flick how they got the plans is possible without ruining the universe if they do it right.
